New Exhibitions: Mechanics Alive & Quanta School
Curious kids will have a field day turning levers, cranks, gears and more at the highly-interactive Mechanics Alive exhibition. Developed and toured by Cabaret Mechanical Theatre, this exhibition breaks down mechanical systems into simple, moving parts, giving kids the perfect introduction to how mechanical systems work. They can also see how parts come together to create entertaining, moving mechanical amusements.
Then, take the leap into the quantum realm at Quanta School. Quantum Science is the study of matter at the atomic level, where objects don’t behave normally. At the classroom-themed exhibition, learn how particles can exist in different states at the same time (quantum superimposition), view a model of an atomic clock that tracks the movement of the nucleus and electrons in an atom, and more.
Elemental Detectives Science Show: The Case of the Missing Metal
One disappearing element, two detectives and a periodic suspect with a poisonous past. At the Elemental Detective Science Show, step into the streets of Periodic City and help solve a mystery! Featuring live experiments and interactive voting, this new science theatre show combines chemistry and deduction for a thrilling experience that kids will not soon forget. Sci-sational Christmas 2025
The elves are hard at work preparing a surprise party for Santa. From 12 to 25 December, kids ages 5 and above can join them at five different activity stations around Science Centre Singapore and get the party ready!
Help the elves design a unique present, then create your own swirly, coloured gift wrapper. Complete the recipes for a Christmas feast and make glow-in-the-dark ornaments to light up the party. Step back in time to ancient Patagonia where you can come face-to-face with a host of extraordinary dinosaur species, including a full-scale cast of the 40-metre-long Patagotitan mayorum, and real fossils. The Young Scientist Badge programme has inspiring kids to learn more about STEM for generations. And, just for this year, there is a special SG60 Young Scientist Badge available till December 2025.
There are so many Young Scientist Badges that kids, 7 to 12 years, can choose from. Kids can embark on self-guided trails around Science Centre Singapore to become Young Ecologists, Young Engineers, Young Energy Savers and more. Those who complete the trails can pick up physical badges throughout November and December.
