
For 11 days from 11 to 21 September 2025, Singapore Design Week is bringing design to life across the city from the National Design Centre to immersive experiences across Bras Basah.Bugis, Marina, Orchard, and Singapore Science Park.
Singapore Design Week 2025: Immersive Experiences Across the City
The theme for Singapore Design Week 2025 is Nation by Design. It celebrates how design has shaped Singapore into a liveable city.
Singapore Design Week 2025 is based on the pillars of:
- Design Futures: Exploring the future of design through Singapore’s forward-looking lens;
- Design Marketplace: Uniting lifestyle trends from around the world, and anchored by Design Fair Asia;
- Design Impact: How innovative designs can tackle society’s biggest questions.
There will be events and activities held across four design districts:

Highlights of Singapore Design Week
Here is a look at some of the highlights and key events of Singapore Design Week 2025.
Singapore River Festival 2025 (Design Edition)
12 to 21 September 2025, Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay
The Design Edition of Singapore River Festival honours Singapore’s 60th birthday with design-focused experiences such as Symphony of Lights by Light Collab, Singapore River Passport by Studio Grain and Singapura Otter, Singapore River Odyssey by The Urbanist Singapore, and Illuminating the Past, Heritage Reimagined by Fujifilm and photographer Joseph Goh. These experiences blend design, creativity, and storytelling to showcase the enduring spirit of the Singapore River — a timeless connector of communities.
Additionally, there are various festival highlights along the three quays by the Singapore River:
- Boat Quay: River of Dreams, an immersive, experiential projection mapping show;
- Clarke Quay: A fun-filled pet-friendly event and an engaging community walk; and
- Robertson Quay: Artisanal and sustainable market, workshops, and open-air silent movie night
REINVENTION Presented by Singapore Science Park

REINVENTION offers a glimpse into how science, technology and design are not separate domains, but deeply interconnected forces shaping the future of cities, communities, and industries. Visitors are invited to reflect on what it means to reinvent in our symbiotic world, where nature and machine, technology and community, old and new converge to create something stronger, more resilient, more meaningful.
Highlights here include the BYOX Fair that brings together designers and technologists experimenting with microcontrollers, sensors, AI, robotics, and more, alongside tactile, analog processes that go beyond tech. There is also Flavours of Tomorrow: An Interactive Culinary Experience that will take you on a thought-provoking journey about our food systems and the future of food through a curated menu.
Unnatural History Museum of Singapore
11 September to 26 October 2025, National Design Centre
The Unnatural History Museum of Singapore is an exhibition that celebrates our nation’s unconventional history, one that’s uniquely shaped by design. The exhibition at the National Design Centre atrium invites visitors to explore some of the nation’s most curious creations. The collection features hybrid flora and robotic fauna, unusual habitats, reimagined landscapes and beyond.
EMERGE @ FIND
11 to 13 September (open to the public on 12 September), Marian Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre
This year, the theme of EMERGE @ FIND is “Dialogue Through Design”. It approaches design as more than an aesthetic pursuit – but rather as a language, a tool for storytelling, and a way to navigate complexity. “Dialogue through Design” explores how design acts as a bridge between disciplines, cultures, and pressing global issues. Friday Late at Marina Central
10 to 20 September 2025, various venues across Marina Central
Enjoy live performances by Singaporean and international talents and fringe activities like a photobooth and doodling sessions across four vibrant zones at Marina Square, Millenia Walk, South Beach, and Suntec City. This event is part of a weekend series happening on the Fridays (Friday Late) and Saturdays (Saturday Spotlights) of Singapore Design Week 2025.
Find Your Folks @ Jalan Besar
11 to 21 September 2025, Jalan Besar Precinct
From veteran hardware stores to independent cafes and restaurants, Jalan Besar is lined with stories of both place and people. From 11 to 21 September, creative agency LOPELAB and events collective Ice Cream Sundays invite the public to connect with and rediscover the street through a series of creative public furniture. Find Your Folks @ Jalan Besar will conclude with a 2-day street festival on Hamilton Road, featuring a diverse line-up of programmes and activities based on the event’s six core pillars: urban design, music, fashion, visual art, food, and urban sports.
Future of Food (Bus Tour)
This bus tour uses our nation’s favourite obsession — food — as a lens to explore sustainability, creativity, and innovation. From speculative concepts to real-world breakthroughs, discover how design is re-shaping what we eat, why we eat it, and what we might be eating next.
Design for a Sustainable Future
11 to 21 September 2025, Funan Mall
Discover how design can make a real difference at Design for a Sustainable Future, organised by Temasek Polytechnic’s (TP) School of Design! This exhibition and workshop series shines a spotlight on innovative ways to reduce waste, repurpose materials and reimagine everyday objects for a greener tomorrow. Visitors will get to explore creative projects that merge sustainability with design thinking, while also trying their hand at quick and engaging hands-on workshops. Guided by staff and students from TP’s School of Design together with the partnering organisations,
participants will learn how discarded plastics can be transformed into functional, wearable, and purposeful items. NudgeQuest

NudgeQuest is a fun, self-paced urban adventure delivered via Telegram. Whether you’re going solo or teaming up with friends, family or colleagues, you’ll take on real-world missions to uncover clever nudges in everyday places – from train stations to hawker centres – and reflect on how they influence behaviour. Each mission is a bite-sized piece of detective work that helps you see your surroundings in a whole new light. Along the way, you’ll contribute to a crowd-sourced snapshot of what works, and what could work better, in behavioural design across Singapore. Free with registration.
