National Museum of Singapore is celebrating its 138th anniversary this year and it has collaborated with local artist Ven (@vensroom) to re-imagine four creatures from the William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings – the koel, moonrat, mangrove snake, and grey-cheeked flying squirrel. And as part of the celebrations, you can go on a stamp rally around the museum and even possibly get to get a koel plush bag charm on weekends.

The stamp rally at National Museum of Singapore takes place from 11 to 26 October 2025.
The stamp rally features stamping card with a Halloween themed design. There are two designs – a daytime design which is available from 11 to 18 October 2025, and a nighttime design that is available from 19 to 26 October 2025.

To go on the Stamp Rally Adventure, you need to make your way through four locations at the National Museum of Singapore. These are:
- Singapore Odyssea (Level 2)
- Singapore History Gallery (Level 1)
- Once Upon a Tide (Basement)
- A Whale of a Tale (Outdoors)
We head out around the museum on the stamp rally.
Our first stop was the new Singapore Odyssea at the Glass Rotunda. The stamping station was at the exit of the Singapore Odyssea experience. We picked up a stamping card from the station and also afixed our first stamp on the card.
We then found ourselves at the Singapore History Gallery, which will soon be closing for a revamp in November. The stamping station at the Singapore History Gallery can be found by the exit of the gallery.
There are two other stations, one at the basement exhibition Once Upon a Tide, and the other at the new outdoor playground space A Whale of a Tale.
Once you have completed all the stamps, the completed card makes a nice memento of your visit.
Redemption of a Koel Plush Bag Charm on Weekends
If you are among the first 350 participants to complete the stamp rally with the four correct stamps on weekends, you can redeem an exclusive koel plush bag charm from the Information booth at Level 2, beside the photo wall.
However, we expect that this charm will be given out pretty quickly as it is while stocks last.
Redemptions begin from 10 am on a first-come, first-served basis. It is limited to one redemption per visitor for the entire campaign period. All visitors must be physically present at the point of redemption.
Also take note that from 19 October onwards, only completed stamping cards with the nighttime design are accepted.
Other Activities as Part of National Museum of Singapore’s 138th Anniversary Celebrations: Photo Opportunity and Mindfulness at the Museum: Letters Through Time
Till 26 October, you can also head to the Platform at Level 2 to take a picture with koel and other creatures in whimsical daytime and nighttime landscapes.
There is also a ticketed programme as part of Mindfulness at the Museum where you can take time to craft a letter to yourself using guided prompts from our facilitator, or perhaps a note to a loved one. Then, affix a wax seal on your letter, similar to how it was done in the past or simply as a decoration.
This ticketed programme at the Reunion Social Space is suitable for ages 13 and above.
