Mandai Wildlife East is the public area that fronts Singapore Zoo and River Wonders. Those who are looking for a fast-food option that is familiar may be interested to know that there is a McDonald’s at Mandai Wildlife East, located within the Curiosity Cove building.
First McDonald’s located at Mandai Wildlife Reserve
The McDonald’s at Mandai Wildlife East can be found inside the Curiosity Cove building, in a non-ticketed area – so it is open to all. It is also the first McDonald’s located at Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
The outlet is located away from the rest of the restaurants at Mandai Wildlife East’s Dining Alley, such as Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine and Sushiro.

While those who are heading to Singapore Zoo would be familiar with the KFC located at the entrance of the attraction, those who are leaving the Singapore Zoo will easily spot the Curiosity Cove building on the right.
Of course, since the McDonald’s at Mandai Wildlife East is open to the public, you don’t need to visit the Singapore Zoo, nor even the Curiosity Cove attraction to patronise it.
Upon entering the Curiosity Cove building, the McDonald’s outlet can be found on a mezzanine level in front of you. Take the flights of steps or the escalator to reach the entrance of the McDonald’s.
Inside, the outlet is brightly and cheerily decorated. Immediately to the left of the entrance, you will find the ordering kiosks. Place your order for your meal at these kiosks.
We found the decor especially cute, with various stylised designs on the wall. For example, there are icons that represents the deconstructed parts of their burgers. These motifs can be found throughout the restaurant.
Happy Meal Box Seating Area
Another distinctive feature found at the McDonald’s outlet at Mandai Wildlife East Curiosity Cove building is the Happy Meal Box seating area.
A red frame creates the outlet of the iconic Happy Meal box, topped off with the yellow golden arches of the McDonald’s brand.
The seats here are also lower to accommodate younger kids. From its location just beside the large pane windows, kids and parents can look down to the entrance of the building.
Party Room
There is also a big party room at the Curiosity Cove McDonald’s. In fact, this is the biggest McDonald’s party room in Singapore. This makes it a fun birthday option if you are intending to have a birthday party paired with a day out at the Singapore Zoo.
One thing that the McDonald’s outlet does not have is a Play Place playground. However, that is completely understandable since it is right next to Curiosity Cove.
