Small ice creams carts have been a part of Singapore’s cultural fabric of Singapore over the last 60 years. As a mark to preserve this symbol of Singaporean joy, Income Insurance is collaborating with participating ice cream vendors over the National Day weekend (9 and 10 August), to serve free ice cream to the public across six locations: Punggol, Bishan, Clementi, Tampines, Eunos and Orchard.

In collaboration with the ice cream vendors, Income Insurance is giving away free ice cream treats over the SG60 National Day weekend, which also means guaranteed sales for the elderly ice cream uncles and aunties.
The initiative highlights not just the iconic ice cream carts, but also, the uncles and aunties who have brought this tradition to life over the decades.
A part of the streets of Singapore since the 1960s, these ice cream vendors sell ice cream wafers or breads that are often shared as a sweet treat together with friends and family.

With the ice cream uncles and aunties now in their senior years, Income Insurance wants to remind Singaporeans of what makes us Singapore, and to protect this precious piece of heritage and their carts full of memories.
In addition, the insurer is also extending complimentary personalised financial protection to each participating ice cream uncle and aunty. This includes Enhanced SilverCare, a personal accident plan tailored for seniors or Motorcycle Insurance to cover their motorcycle push carts, depending on their eligibility.
Hand in Hand, with Singapore
The initiative is part of Income Insurance’s ongoing 55th anniversary celebrations, themed “Hand in hand, with Singapore. 55 years of care. 55 years of protection.”
It underscores the insurer’s belief in growing with the nation, while ensuring that Singaporeans are protected through every milestone in life.

Where to Get Your Free Ice Cream on 9 and 10 August 2025
Members of the public can get their free ice creams on 9 and 10 August 2025 (Saturday and Sunday), between 11 am to 5 pm, across six locations:
- Bishan: Walkway between Junction 8 and Bishan Bus Interchange
- Clementi: Blk 441A Clementi Ave (in front of fountain between Clementi Mall and Grantral Mall)
- Eunos: Eunos MRT (in front of Eunos Crescent Market and Food Centre)
- Orchard: Outside Wisma Atria
- Punggol: Punggol MRT Exit C (in front of Punggol Bus Interchange)
- Tampines: Tampines Bus Interchange (between Tampines One and bus interchange)
