Fans of the cheeky Japanese cartoon character Crayon Shinchan can now look forward to a themed dining experience in Singapore. The Crayon Shinchan × Wong Fu Fu Pop-Up is a limited-time collaboration that combines fun elements from the popular cartoon with Japanese-inspired comfort food. Held at Wong Fu Fu, the pop-up offers a selection of themed mains, drinks, and desserts.
Also featured at the pop-up is one of the largest serving of matcha available in Singapore. Diners can look out for and try a 5-litre Iced Matcha Latte and Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, both made with high-quality Niko Neko Matcha!
Crayon Shinchan × Wong Fu Fu Collaboration Menu
The Crayon Shinchan × Wong Fu Fu Collaboration Menu features a range of themed dishes that capture the playful and cheeky spirit of the beloved cartoon. Here are some of the dishes that we tried.
NATIONAL DAY EBOOK: Get Little Day Out's Free Activity eBook for Kids
BEAT THE HEAT: Sengkang Swimming Complex’s Amazing Water Slides
Japanese Chicken Katsu Burger
The Japanese Chicken Katsu Burger features a crispy golden-fried chicken katsu nestled inside a brioche bun with fresh lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise.
Each burger set is served with tater tots, a small side salad, and a novelty Chocobi snack box, which is a playful nod to Shinchan’s favourite treat from the cartoon.
Japanese Seafood Curry Rice
The Japanese Seafood Curry Rice features fluffy Japanese rice shaped playfully into a cute little butt, a cheeky nod to Shinchan’s mischievous character. This fun detail adds a whimsical touch to the dish, making it just as enjoyable to look at as it is to eat.
The rice is served with golden-fried seafood karaage, slices of cheddar cheese and carrots cut into stars and a side of salad. The mild Japanese-style curry complements the crispy seafood, resulting making it suitable for younger diners.
Drinks in Cute Crayon Shinchan Head Cup
The individual drinks at the Crayon Shinchan × Wong Fu Fu Pop-Up come served in charming cups shaped like Crayon Shinchan’s head, adding a playful touch to your refreshment.
The menu features an Iced Matcha Latte and an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, both made with high-quality Niko Neko Matcha. The strawberry version adds a subtle fruity sweetness, offering a creamier, more dessert-like experience.
For those who prefer something classic, the Iced Chocolate provides a rich, smooth option that pairs well with the rest of the menu.
Housemade Banana Pudding
To finish the meal, we tried the the Housemade Banana Pudding. Those who frequent cafes might notice that Banana pudding is also a current up-and-coming food trend, gaining popularity for its nostalgic appeal and approachable flavour.
The banana pudding at Wong Fu Fu had a creamy, soft texture and a mild banana flavour that wasn’t too overpowering.
Singapore’s Biggest 5-Litre Matcha Latte: A Must-Try Feature
A standout attraction at the Crayon Shinchan × Wong Fu Fu Pop-Up is the limited-edition 5-litre Iced Matcha Latte and Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte.
Probably one of the largest servings of matcha drinks you’ll find in Singapore, this oversized option is perfect for sharing with friends or family, unless you’re up for a solo challenge.
Served in a large, transparent cup, the Iced Matcha Latte is made with Niko Neko Matcha and features a balanced flavour that is smooth, gently earthy, and not overly sweet. We liked the creamy, frothy texture, which made it feel surprisingly light despite its size.
There is also a Strawberry Matcha version available. This combination of matcha and strawberry has become a trending flavour pairing in recent months, especially on social media, where it is often praised for both its taste and visual appeal. The vibrant colours and size of this 5-litre version make it a fun photo opportunity.
Whether you’re a matcha regular or simply curious to try something a little different, the 5-litre matcha latte is a fun addition to the pop-up and a unique way to enjoy a trending drink.
