Get a taste of the iconic Chatuchak market here in Singapore from 4 February to 3 May 2020. This is the first time that Chatuchak market’s brand will appear outside of Thailand. Here are some of the things that you can check out of you decide to visit Chatuchak Singapore 2020 at The Grandstand South Carpark.

As with any of these overseas markets, getting a taste of authentic local cuisine is one of the main highlights. True that the prices here might not be as low as what it might get in Thailand, but the quality of the food here is almost as close since it’s run by locals who are flown in for this event.

Do note that many of the stores accept cash only, so be sure to bring enough to spend. Stores that are direct from Chatuchak include King Octopus (grilled octopus), Tomoko (vegetarian snacks made from purple potato) and Sukhothai Roasted Pork.
Some of the other stores with snaking long queues include the store that sold banana egg Prata and of course, Thai milk tea. The store in the picture above at Chatuchak Singapoore 2020 had no store name but attracted the crowds by performing a little “teh tarik show”.
Variety of Shops at the Market
There are also a variety of shops that are selling fashion and a variety of handmade accessories. From custom shirts to bags, you can take your pick of something that you would want to bring back from this event.
The retail stores that are direct from Chatuchak include Chapter #1 (custom shirts) and Lamiad Selected Silver (unique handmade silver accessories). For those who wish to support a good cause, Sackitem is an original upcycle brand that originates from Thailand and is exclusive to this market.
The stores will change throughout the course of this pop-up. The Chatuchak market Singapore popup is here until 3 May 2020. It is open Tuesdays to Sundays, 4.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
