Cafe 4 You is a cafe and dining outlet that serves up both local and Western food at CMPB Gombak. Located on Level 2, it is an alternative dining spot to the Timbre+ food court.

We recently made our way to CMPB Gombak for lunch and found ourselves seated at a table at Cafe4You.
Cafe 4 You has its original outlet at Bukit Merah. The CMPB outlet is a new one.

The interior looks pretty swanky with black and white floor tiles mixed with wooden style flooring at different sections. Mini chandeliers hung throughout the outlet give it a unique ambiance.
However, the best part of the ambiance are the large glass windows that allow light to stream indoors. Since the cafe-restaurant is set on an elevation, the view out of the window is unblocked with tree canopies adding a touch of greenery to the vista.
Cafe 4 You Menu
The Cafe 4 You menu is quite extensive and covers breakfast items to Asian delights and Western dishes.
For breakfast, there are options such as the Kaya Found Butter toast ($2.60) or served as a set for $4.90 with soft boiled eggs and choice of coffee or tea. There is also a Honey – French Toast ($4.50) which is also available as a set.
For a light meal, you can try a salad. There is Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad ($10.90) or you can get a refreshing Thai Mango Salad ($8.90) as a starter.
Asian food options include the Towkay Fried Chicken ($10.90) and Singapore Hokkien Mee ($11.90). Other dishes include Surf & Turf Thai Vermicelli ($11.90) and Heritage Masala Chicken Biryani ($11.90).
There is also Thai Fried Rice ($11.90) and numbing Mama Mala Fried Rice ($11.90).
Those with a Western palate can opt for Prawns Aglio Olio ($14.90), Carbonara ($14.90) or Grilled Chicken with Colourful Salad ($13.90). The slow-cooked Guinness Beef Stew ($15.90) is another hearty option, along with the Brotherhood Burger n Fries ($14.90) and Duck Confit with Mash Potato ($21.90).
Amongst the sides, there were chicken winglets ($10.90 for six pieces) and Crispy Pork Skin ($8.90) and Crispy Chicken Skin ($8.90). We can imagine that these would go well with the beers that they have on tap.
Dining at Cafe 4 You
In the end, we settled on the Thai Basil Chicken ($9.90). This came with sunny side egg on top of the rice. We enjoyed the flavours of the chicken and thought it was a decently sized portion.
We also ordered the Thai Green Curry which came with a plate of rice. Personally, we found it to be a little on the sweet side.
From the Western selection, we ordered the My Daddy’s Fish & Chips ($14.90). This featured a piece of battered barramundi. This choice of fish elevated the fish and chips. The portion was not the largest and may be enough for those with a heartier appetite, but it was sufficient for us.
To round off the meal, we had the kaya toast as well as a local kopi. We were intrigued by the way the kaya toast was cut down its length and presented, including the long strip of butter inside.
Final Thoughts on Cafe 4 You
Overall, Cafe 4 You offers a varied menu that caters to different tastes. It provides a good alternative to those who may wish to dine somewhere else besides the food court at CMPB. The service staff were very friendly and we appreciated that.
However, do note that it can get very busy at peak times.
One final observation: some of the seats by the windows have power sockets beside them. We wonder if they are usable by the public, as it would make it a nice spot to order a drink and do some work.
