Berries sprout up on top of a cherry tree playground and giant birds stand ready to play at the Bartley GreenRise Playground, new play spot for those living around the Bidadari and Bartley neighbourhoods.
Bartley GreenRise Playground: Cherry Trees
Located beside Maris Stella High and a short walk from the Bartley MRT Station is the Bartley GreenRise estate. And nestled amongst the flats, above the multi-storey car park, you will find the Bartley GreenRise playground.
Surrounded by a brightly-coloured picket fence, the Bartley GreenRise playground for older kids, 5 to 12 years old, is themed to look like cherry trees.

Red “berries” resembling cherries or fruit, sprout out from top of the three towers, together with leaves, giving the playground a distinctive look.
The three towers are connected to each other by a series of link bridges. Together, they form a little adventure course where kids can go from tower to tower, ever higher and higher.
From the highest tower, an enclosed, red slide provides a fun way to escape back to the padded floor of the playground.
The other two towers have slides too! The green open slides provide even more opportunities for kids to play.
Beneath the towers, there are also climbing discs and little hammocks that kids can climb up on or sit on to have a rest.
Birds Playground for Younger Kids
Perhaps it is because of the berries at the cherry playground that a pair of birds can be found at the neighbourhood play space.
They can be found in a separately gated play area for younger children. In addition to the two bird structures, there are also several play panels within this play area.
There is room for kids to use their imagination as they climb inside the orange, brown and purple bird play structure. A set of poles with climbing discs under the bird’s beak encourage kids to practise their balance.

Young kids can also climb inside the bluebird where gentle slopes await.

Stepping stones and spring equipment complete the toddler playground.
This toddler playground is partially shaded, something that is surely welcomed in sunny Singapore.
The Bartley GreenRise playground, installed by playground provider CT Art Creation, can be found at Block 216 Park Drive, Singapore 360216.
More Playgrounds in the Area
Wondering what other playgrounds can be found around Bartley GreenRise?
There are playgrounds at Woodleigh Hillside and Woodleigh Glen.
A large playground, built around a mature tree, can be found at Woodleigh Village, just in front of the hawker centre.
For a dose of nature, there is Bidadari Park and the Alkaff Lake. This is also where you can find the Adventure Playwoods playground.
