Bartley Beacon Playground: The Waterfall Playspace

This first play area at Bartley Beacon is the Waterfall Playspace. This waterfall-inspired playground is laid out over a slope, starting from an elevated point and flowing downwards with the landscape. It is a dry playground – there is no real water here.

Kids can imagine that they are on a river cruise as they descend from the top of the slope and navigate their way around the various play features at this Bartley Beacon playground.

waterwheel play structures

One of the prominent play features here are the waterwheel play structures. Kids can actually climb into the waterwheels for some fun and intrepid exploration.

Designed to encourage kids to climb and crawl, one of the waterwheel play structures even has a tube slide that kids can use for a thrilling ride back to the ground where a bouncy trampoline awaits!

An arched bridge encourages kids to imagine they are crossing over a stream.

For more fun, a set of rock elements encourage kids to practise their balancing skills. Be sure not to fall into the “water”!

swings

After all the excitement, kids can head over to the swings and hammocks to relax and take a breather.

Pond Playground

Pond Playground

While the Waterfall Playspace caters to older kids, younger ones can make their way to the Pond Playground.

Situated at the bottom of the hilly terrain, the Pond Playground features various elements that the younger age set can appreciate.

There is a duck play structure. Amusingly, the duck is all ready to go for a swim with a snorkel mask and tube. Kids can explore the low play structure, which is made up of two parts.

dragonfly

Also part of Bartley Beacon’s Pond Playground’s eco-system is a dragonfly. This one here is extra large and a chance for young ones to gain some confidence climbing along its wings.

A giant green frog also stands in a corner of the Pond Playground. Approach the frog and you will discover that it actually hides a slide on the inside.

green lily pads

There are also green lily pads that serve as stepping stones for young ones to play and balance on.

Here’s a little secret – there is a pathway that leads to the foot reflexology area nearby. Look up and you will discover that the trellis is designed to resemble lily pads too!

Mushroom House

Mushroom House

A short distance away stands a Mushroom House. This is another Bartley Beacon playground that caters to younger kids.

The Mushroom House features low platforms along with a low, open slide.

Bartley Beacon Playgrounds

The Bartley Beacon playgrounds have an interesting design. Laid out in a linear fashion within the estate, we liked how it incorporates the terrain into the play value of the playground.
