We are not sure how we took so long to try Vicoletto Osteria at VivoCity. The Italian casual restaurant serves a range of mains alongside pastas and freshly baked pizzas.
Vicoletto Osteria: Menu at the Italian Restaurant
From the outside, Vicoletto Osteria looks like a calm, modern and inviting. Stepping through the arches of its facade, we settled down at our table. At the counter, the chefs were preparing pizzas, placing them into the oven to bake. We knew that we had to get one.

The menu at Vicoletto Osteria falls into several main categories.
There are its signature pizzas, which range from Margherita ($15) to more elaborate varieties such as Meat Lovers ($22) and something we had not seen before – Clam & Sausage ($20).
From the Charcoal Grill, there are meats like chicken, duck, lamb, pork chops as well as seafood like octopus and snapper. The Flat Iron ($25) looked tempting.
Pasta options start from $15 for the Wild Mushroom Agnolotti.
There are also a variety of antipasti available to start off the meal.
What We Ate at Vicoletto Osteria
We ordered a Burrata (half) & Parma ($17) to begin with. This salad of burrata comes cradled in parma ham and was served with refreshing rockmelon and plum.
It was a nice starter to begin our meal.
We were drawn to pasta and ordered the Seafood L’anello ($19) and Carbonara L’anello ($15).
The Carbonara L’anello is made with pancetta, egg sauce and pecorino romano. L’anello was a new type of pasta shape to us but the bowties of pasta with the curl was great at catching the sauce of the Carbonara. We were happy with their use of pancetta and pecorino romano, which gave it an authentic flavour.
The Seafood L’anello was equally spot on. With prawn, squid and mussels, it hit the spot. The l’anello was al dante and had a nice bite. The broth was deeply flavourful – so much so that it had us using our spoon to scoop up as much as possible even after we had finished the pasta.
The last item to arrive at our table was the pizza. The Four Cheese & Honey ($19) made use of camembert, gorgonzola, pecorino romano and fior de latte and was drizzled with wild flower honey.
We thoroughly enjoyed the freshly made pizza. The crust was light and a wonderful vehicle for the flavour of the cheeses. It is no wonder that the pizzas as a signature of Vicoletto Osteria.
Experience at Vicoletto Osteria
Overall, we think that Vicoletto Osteria is very good value for money and we liked the casual vibes of the restaurant. The quality of the food was good and we enjoyed that the pasta was made with authentic ingredients like percorino romano and pancetta.
The pizza was worth the wait and the next time that we come back, in addition to ordering a pizza, we may try some of the menu items from the Charcoal Grill – that Flat Iron sounds like it is worth a try. We’ve also heard good things about the Fried Carbonara Balls.
