We found all the climb and bounce that kids have come to expect of a Kiztopia playground, as well as some new elements that that would easily keep tweens and even teens challenged. This distinguishes it from other Kiztopia outlets.
Hail Challengers!
Entering SkyPark at Orchard Cineleisure, we were greeted by the innocuous-looking Challenger Arena.
Diving straight into the chute-and-ladder complex, we found climbing challenges galore – ropes, walls, hoops and even a mountain of inflatable balls! It was a ton of fun and definitely kept our kid busy and active.
Our favourite was the massive ramp with targets calling out to be punched – repeatedly! It is a challenge for kids but we found that they just kept on trying to reach higher and higher. What a fun way for kids to get sport and active.
For the Littles
Over to one side of the SkyPark playground, an inviting row of slides and a massive ball pit were a façade for more excitement. This would appeal to younger kids or those just want to get into the motion and experience some active fun.
We even discovered a mini-flying fox hidden within the multi-level structure. Hop on and zip across the obstacle.
Ropes and Racing
The structure was also cleverly designed to serve as a staging area for the adjacent high-element obstacle course suspended above a pedal-car racing track!
Wall-to-ceiling windows provided a panoramic view of Orchard Road as brave souls traversed the rope obstacle course above. In the meantime, kids can also zip around in the pedal cars on the track below as they compete to be crowned king of the lap around the pedal car course!
The Big Climb
If the high obstacle course isn’t enough for adrenaline junkies, Kiztopia’s Skypark also boasts a full-sized climbing wall. Kids can reach up higher and higher as they try to get to the top.
Trampolines Galore!
It was the mini-trampoline park though that we ended coming back to time again and again.
How many activities can you engage in while bouncing on a trampoline? Quite a few apparently! Kids will become a bouncing ball as they hop around and engage in the various activities.
We tried arcade style games and basketball with the aid of the bouncy trampolines at this section of SkyPark by Kiztopia.
But our absolute favourite activity at Kiztopia SkyPark was the extremely adhesive Velcro wall – we spent ages throwing ourselves up against, and trying to peel ourselves off it.
The experience provided loads of laughs and surprisingly good workout.
SkyPark by Kiztopia Review & Overall Thoughts
Overall, SkyPark By Kiztopia at Orchard Cineleisure packs quite a punch and could easily occupy kids for a couple of hours.
Its activities are, however, skewed a little to the older kids, with, for example, a 120 cm height requirement for the ropes course and pedal cars more suited for those with a longer legs.
Even the smallest Velcro suit size still a tad large for my 7 year old (but that did not stop us from having trying to get stuck on the wall).
Given its central location along Orchard Road, Kiztopia SkyPark can be fun place for a family day out on the town.
