Singapore MOE School Holidays 2026

The school year for 2026 for all MOE primary schools (including MOE Kindergartens) and secondary schools will start on Friday, 2 January 2026 and end on Friday, 20 November 2026.

Here are the MOE School Holiday 2026 dates for MOE Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary schools.

  • Between Terms I & II (aka March School Holidays): Sat 14 Mar to Sun 22 Mar 2026
  • Between Terms II & III (aka Mid Year School Holidays): Sat 30 May to Sun 28 Jun 2026
  • Between Terms III & IV (aka September School Holidays): Sat 5 Sep to Sun 13 Sep 2026
  • End of School Year (aka Year-end School Holidays): Sat 21 Nov to Thu 31 Dec 2026

Scheduled School Holidays 2026

These are the scheduled school holidays for 2026:

  • Youth Day: Sunday, 5 July 2026 (The following Monday, 6 July will be a school holiday)
  • Teachers’ Day: Friday, 4 September 2026
  • Children’s Day (for MOE Kindergartens, primary schools and primary sections of full schools only): Friday, 2 October 2026

Hari Raya Puasa, also known as Eid al-Fitr, is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims. It marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting that is observed by Muslims.

Labour Day is a day to remember the contributions of workers. It is also known as May Day and acts as a reminder of the rights and solidarity of workers.

Vesak Day is an important holiday in Buddhism as it commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha. On Vesak Day, Buddhists will engage in spiritual and religious activities at the temple and is a time for joy, reflection and peace.

Hari Raya Haji is also known as Eid Al-Adha. It is celebrated on the 10th day of Zulhijjah and marks the completion of the haj pilgrimage to Mecca.

 

 

National Day is when Singapore comes together to celebrate as a country. It is marked by the National Day Parade, carnivals and fireworks. One of the popular features of National Day that many look forward to is the National Day flypast.

Deepavali is the Hindu festival of lights. Also known as Diwali, it symbolises the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.

Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ.
