
See the world through fresh eyes at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay’s annual children’s festival March On 2026 from 12 to 25 March. Let your babies, toddlers and kids discover the world around them through a rich variety of engaging arts programmes by renowned international and homegrown artists.
This year’s March On festival features more than 30 free and ticketed programmes for young audiences. From theatre and dance to enchanting puppetry storytelling, there is something suitable for ages as young as 6 months all the way to 7 and above.

There’s a Dinosaur in the Concert Hall!
What happens when a dinosaur finds its way into a concert hall? Fret not, come dressed as your favourite Superhero and join the Pitch Patrol as they weave their magical powers of music to save the day! Get ready to groove to the smooth tunes of jazz and dance to the beat of pop-rock – this musical adventure will thoroughly energise your entire family!

Little Bou & Kon Kon
Be enchanted by a puppetry performance inspired by Japanese folklore, of a tender tale of friendship, acceptance and self-discovery. The story about a shapeshifting raccoon and a misunderstood fox will deepen your child’s appreciation of the true meaning of friendship beyond differences! And a special treat lies in store after the show – audiences can meet the beautiful puppets designed by Mayu Iwasaki and crafted by Katrina Gaskell.

First Rave
How does the journey of mothering evolve in the fourth trimester? Connect with the complexities of parenthood through powerful and magical storytelling as baby and parent audiences are introduced to each other’s worlds through puppetry, light and sound. Don’t miss this first text-based baby live theatre and puppetry performance in Singapore that ends with a delightful gentle rave party by DJ Nicolette!

Chotto Desh

Have your hearts warmed by this unique cross-cultural performance about a boy’s dreams from Britain to Bangladesh as he searches for his place in this world. Told through a fusion of traditional and contemporary dance with artistic animations and visuals, it is a spirited and uplifting story that will charm the young and young at heart.

Other exciting performances to look forward to at March On 2026 include Squirrel, a puppetry storytelling that follow the adventures of a squirrel as he hunts for his missing acorn, The Curious Creators, an interactive experience set in a gallery where Asian myths come to live, and Tiger Tale, a wildly entertaining ballet dance performance about how an unexpected guest reignites a family’s love for one another.
In addition, there are practitioner workshops and family workshops where parents can join their children for fun and interactive experiences.

Venture to the Esplanade Courtyard where a playful installation Itchy Fingers: Makan Angin invites discovery, movement and shared joy.
Experience an improvised storytelling performance at Once in a Blue Moon, where fables and myths are told in a fun and bite-sized way! Step into the Esplanade Black Room to make music using vowels, silence, consonants, rhythm, and simple instruments at a-e-i-o, shh!, or marvel at the origins of the universe in the showcase From Nothing to Rumblings to Everything.
