Located between Circuit Road and Paya Lebar Road, MacPherson Weave is a new residential estate in the east of Singapore. It is also home to several MacPherson Weave playground that are pretty eye-catching, including a sheltered playground spot.
MacPherson Weave Playground
There are three MacPherson Weave Playgrounds, and one spot that looks like a cluster of miniature “HDB blocks” and a dragon playground sculpture that create a mini maze facing out towards Paya Lebar Road. This cluster of playgrounds was first highlighted by parenting influencer Cheekiemonkies.

The HDB blocks mini maze are located between Blocks 99A and 97A.
The mini blocks create a passage way that people can walk through. Around the corners, you can find various Singaporean icons such as the humble kopi cup, as well as a flock of birds as you would be able to find at just about any HDB block.
The various blocks make this seem like a gathering spot for residents to have a seat while kids run about.
In the middle the maze of flats, there are blue and red play panels with a telescope mounted on top.
Right at the front of the installation is a replica of the Toa Payoh Dragon Playground, an icon of Singaporean childhoods of the past.
Other seating areas around the estate also feature heritage motifs like tiffin carriers and long-neck coffee pots.
Buay Long Long Playground (Between Blocks 97A and 97B)
Make your way between Blocks 97A and 97B and your will find a green coloured playground designed for kids between the ages of 2 to 5 years old.
Three fruit-shaped pods are connected to each other by stems at the top as part of the design. Two of these pods have elevated platforms and are interconnected by a netted tunnel that kids can use to go between them.
The third pod hides a little hanging hammock.
There are also little mounds that lead to a series of climbing discs, providing even more opportunities for play.
Play panels featuring different types of mazes line the perimeter of the buay long long playground at MacPherson Weave.
Watermelon Playground (Between Block 99B and Block 95C)
Tropical fruit is the recurring theme at the MacPherson Weave playgrounds. And one that will definitely catch the eye is the Watermelon Playground.
Bright red with green trim for the rind, the Watermelon Playground offers a slice of play with two structures. An elevated netted tunnel that connects the two parts of the Watermelon Playground also helps to elevated the play value.

To complete the theming, there is also a watermelon merry-go-ground.
A bike game set around a watermelon on a pole, and another four-person games in a dome, provides more opportunities for play.
This is also where you can find a set of swings at MacPherson Weave.
Sheltered Canopy Jackfruit Playground (Between Blocks 95 and 100)
It can be hard to find sheltered playgrounds in Singapore and there is one in between Block 95 and 100.
The canopies look like leaves sprouting up from the top of the playground and if you look at some of the panels, you can find a picture of a jackfruit. The playground consists of green platforms with different types of slides.
There is also a basket swing here.
Exercise equipment shares the same area with the playground, allowing parents and children to both enjoy the space.
MacPherson Weave is located next to MacPherson MRT Station.
