Food Stalls at Kopitiam VivoCity
The 30 diverse food stalls offer a wide range of cuisines, including 11 muslim-friendly food stalls.
Here’s a look at some of the food stalls that you can find at the VivoCity Kopitiam Food Hall.
Royal Rojak
Founded in 1997, Royal Rojak has since evolved into a celebrated name, known for reinventing the beloved traditional rojak.
Their Signature Rojak features refreshing fruits, crispy fried dough (youtiao), and rojak sauce, which is a guarded recipe. Giving a twist to the traditional toppings, Royal Rojak adds crispy cod fish slices and jellyfish—striking the perfect harmony between heritage and innovation.
We quite enjoyed the mix of items found in its Signature Rojak ($8.90).
Do take note that at peak times, you have to wait quite long for your rojak.
Ann Chin Popiah
Michelin-listed Ann Chin Popiah was founded in 1958 by Mr Lim Kam Chwee who travelled from Fujian Province, China to Singapore in the 1940s.
In his early days, Mr Lim struggled to juggle odd jobs to support himself and his family. He has always believed that as long as one is willing to work hard and has the willingness to learn, it is only a matter of time before one becomes successful.
In 1958, Mr Lim finally set up shop in “Orh Kio”(in Hokkien), which is currently named Upper Thomson Road. It is known by neighbours and fellow customers that Mr Lim’s popiah skin is fragrant, thin and chewy.
The signature popiah was nice with a crunch from the light, crispy bits incorporated into the roll.
Just take note that at peak times, you may find yourself queuing up for a long time to order the popiah.
Hua Zai Ampang Yong Tau Foo (Halal)
Fifteen years ago, Ah Hua and his wife jointly established Hua Zai Ampang Yong Tau Foo, and the family secret soup base and sauce making techniques are integrated into every bowl of Yong Tau Foo.
The Yong Tau Foo is carefully crafted, and the various fresh ingredients carefully selected present a unique taste and deliciousness, which complement each other and highlight the natural charm of the unique food.
Hajah Maimunah Nasi Padang (Halal)
Hjh Maimunah (pronounced as ‘Hajah Maimunah’) is a name familiar to many serving traditional, Kampung-styled Malay and Indonesian cuisine in Singapore. It is also a halal-certified food establishment.
Established in the 1990s, Hjh Maimunah was founded by Mdm Mahiran Abdul Rahman. Mdm Mahiran started the business with recipes from her late mother and also named the business after her.
Monster Chilli Mala Hot Pot (Halal)
Monster Chilli Mala Hot Pot has a seating area to itself at the rear of the food court, just next to Hajah Maimunah Nasi Padang.
Established in 2014, Monster Chilli is Singapore’s first halal-certified Mala hotpot. Its rich and captivating flavours were an instant hit in the Muslim community.
Blending dry hotpot and spicy Sichuan cuisine, it delivers a unique combination of numbing, spicy, fresh, and fragrant tastes. They also took a step further by infusing traditional Chinese medicine herbs to add a cooling touch.
Monster Chilli Mala Hot Pot at VivoCity Kopi Tiam also has a ready-to-eat cooked food section that is available for both dine-in and takeaway.
Pepper Lunch Express (Halal)
Pepper Lunch Express can also be found at the VivoCity Kopitiam. It was founded in Japan in 1994 by chef Kunio Ichinose, who sought to provide fast, delicious, and affordable high-quality beef dishes to everyday people. His vision was inspired by a “magic iron plate” that could maintain high heat, leading to the creation of the signature Beef Pepper Rice dish, where customers cook their own meals on the hot plate.
Kokoro Kiosuku
Enjoy the Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen, creamy Paitan Ramen, and the fiery Spicy Miso Ramen available from this Japanese food stall at the VivoCity Kopitiam. Or indulge in their signature Katsu Don, Ebi Tama Don and Gyuniku Shogayaki.
HomeWok
One of the new innovative concepts is HomeWok, a local chain where AI-powered robots prepare nutritious, Asian-inspired rice bowls from freshly made ingredients. Homewok marries the founder’s expertise in technology with his love for food to deliver ala-minute stir-frys using robots.
We tried the tomato beef on rice and quite enjoyed it.
Flint Specialty Grill & Bar
Another interesting food option is the western specialties at Flint Specialty Grill & Bar. It occupies a semi-exclusive space that can accommodate casual small-group gatherings and special occasions with family and friends at the front of the food hall.
This brand sells charcoal-grilled meats, chicken and pasta. We thought that the dishes here priced quite attractive, especially given their semi-exclusive space.
We also tried the grilled seabass fillet, which was served with a side of sambal that provided a nice added dimension. We also hear that they have Beer Battered Snapper!
Flint Specialty Grill & Bar also has a curated selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails.
Eng Kee Chicken Wings
Eng Kee Chicken Wings, the popular fried chicken wings with humble beginnings from Commonwealth Drive and famous for their golden brown fried chicken wings can also be found at the Kopitiam Food Hall at VivoCity. The chicken meat is known to be juicy and tender, encased within a wonderfully light and crispy skin.
We think it will pair well with an ice cold beer from Flint Specialty Grill & Bar!
Divine Chicken Pot
Based on a treasured 30-year Sichuan recipe, the Divine Chicken Pot is simmered for six hours using free-range chicken and pork. The daily-delivered chicken meets the searing heat of a 180-degree clay pot, where wok-tossed freshness comes alive as the bone elixir cascades over seared chicken and other claypot delights.
Le Yan Ban Mee
Halal ban mian? That is what Le Yan Ban Mee offers. In addition to the typical ban mian options, there is also Le Yan’s Big Prawn Noodles where signature prawn paste balls are paired with the springy noodles. We also gave the fried ban mian a try – sort of like a char kway teow but with thick noodles.
Pho Vietnam
Pho Vietnam serves authentic Vietnamese favourites, from comforting bowls of pho with broth brewed for hours to freshly prepared classic dishes bursting with herbs and flavour. One of the interesting items available is the Sizzling Beef with Banh Mi.
Ying Jia Steam Fish
Ying Jia aims to serve high-quality steamed fish and other seafood dishes at affordable prices. It is known for its signature garlic sauce.
Kopi Kiosk
Singapore’s iconic Kaya Toast Breakfast Set can also be purchased at the Kopi Kiosk. One of the popular options is the Signature Breakfast Set – a value-for-money Kaya Toast set.
More Food Options at the Kopitiam Food Hall
There are also Chinese, Thai, Korean and Indonesian cuisines at the food hall, along with favourites like carrot cake and char kway teow.
Decor and Ambience at the Kopitiam Food Hall at VivoCity
While at Kopitiam Food Hall, take a moment to appreciate the vibrant colours of the decor. It has been designed to engage diners’ senses while dining.
There are also three urban art murals by Ink & Clog Studio on the walls. If you want to let the kids have something to do while at the food court, we hear that the Kopitiam logo has been incorporated into each of the murals. This can be a little fun distraction for the kids to play “Where’s Wally”.
“At every Kopitiam space, we strive to provide not only delicious offerings but also an inspiring and convenient dining experience for our customers. Recognising that every space is unique, our latest Kopitiam Food Hall at VivoCity has been designed as a multi-sensorial experience, featuring a vibrant interior design, urban art murals by Ink & Clog Studio, and smart AI-powered conveniences – creating a dynamic canvas that showcases our diverse food offerings. We want to elevate the dining experience for both Singaporeans and international visitors, making Kopitiam Food Hall at VivoCity a must-visit destination whenever you are at VivoCity,” said Pauline Png, Director and Head of Customer Innovation and Marketing, Food Services, FairPrice Group.
