Hot on the heels of its new sister outlet, SkyHop by Yooland in Tampines, Giggle Jungle by Yooland has swung into City Square Mall to the delight of hordes of happy children, as could be seen when we visited on a crowded Saturday evening.
Not quite your run-of-the-mill indoor playground, Giggle Jungle impressed us with the wide variety of activities available and its spacious, well-decorated interior. Here are the top 3 reasons why we love it:
Yooland’s Giggle Jungle: Get Sky High with the High Ropes Obstacle Course and Rock wall
Think about indoor playgrounds and what comes to mind is probably slides, ballpits and trampolines. But when was the last time you visited an indoor playground that has both a sport climbing wall as well as a high ropes obstacle course?? That’s right, older kids will be thrilled to tighten their harnesses, strap on their climbing shoes (all provided) and monkey their way up the rock walls or across the high ropes course.

Mr 6yo had the time of his life, climbing and traversing his way across the course, declaring it his absolute favourite part of the playground, along with the rock wall that posed a difficult yet enjoyable challenge.
We also like the fact that there were experienced staff on hand to brief and guide us through the activities, ensuring that participants are kept safe. There are even helmets provided for those who prefer to be extra careful
Note that participants must be aged 4 years old and above, and be a minimum of 1.1m tall.
Superb Fun for the Whole Fam
Coming back down to earth, there is no lack of things to do for those who prefer to be more grounded (or for those who do not meet the age/height requirements). Little jungle explorers can race across rope bridges, dive into the massive ballpit, and parkour their way through the ninja obstacle course.
For the slide fanatics, there is a large variety to choose from, from the thrilling 2-storey twisty slide, to the double-lane racer slide, and even a LED rainbow slide.
For the extra-energetic kids who just need to keep moving, bounce it off in the trampoline zone, complete with a mini jungle-themed obstacle course and interactive multimedia games.
For the little ones, experience endless fun with “sand” play in the massive beads pit. No kidding, we had to repeatedly coax Miss 2yo out just so that she could experience the rest of the playground – but given the choice, she’d probably spend the entire time digging, dumping and mesmerised by the sight of cascading beads!
Another highlight has got to be the adorably whimsical 2-storey teddy bear house, filled with oversized teddies that are just so huggable. This cosy room on the upper floor also offers a quiet respite for little ones who need a break from the excitement!
Aesthetic and Vibrant Jungle-themed Interior
Even from the outside, it’s clear how in-theme the entire playground is. Jungle-themed decor is plastered all over the exterior and interior of the playground, while jungle-themed music complete with sound effects make you feel like you are really in the middle of a jungle.
Realistic jungle animal plushies are scattered here and there – we spotted tigers, crocodiles and deer, to name a few. Even the colour palette of the ball pit complements the theme – only green and white balls allowed!
We also appreciated how the high ceilings give the playground a spacious and airy feel, and added to the jungle vibes with the illusion of wide open skies.

Giggle Jungle really lives up to its name and has gone all way out to – and succeeded in – bringing out the jungle theme while offering a whole lot of fun, laughs and giggles. From younger kids to the primary school crowd, there is something for everyone, so be sure to check it out during the upcoming school holidays!
Things to note: There is ample space to store your shoes and belongings, but do keep your valuables with you as the storage bins cannot be locked. And as with most indoor playgrounds, socks are required to be worn at all times (bring your own, or purchase them on site at $3/pair).
