Entrepôt Christmas Festive Menu
Entrepôt’s signaure dishes are inspired by Singapore’s history as a bustling trading port where cultures, spices and culinary traditions met. This Christmas, they switch into festive gear with a Christmas spread centred on binchōtan-grilled steaks and U.S. poultry roasts.
Binchōtan is a traditional Japanese charcoal known for burning clean and hot with little smoke, is prized for the way it enhances flavour without overpowering it. This allows the meat to stay tender, juicy and beautifully charred.
Charcoal-Grilled Steaks
The highlight of the buffet is, without a doubt, the generous spread of charcoal-grilled steaks cooked over binchōtan. Diners can from two cuts: Australian Black Angus Striploin with its balanced marbling, the richer and fuller-bodied Australian Black Angus Ribeye, and the Argentinian Wagyu Flank Steak that carries a deeper, beef-forward flavour.
Each cut arrives tender, smoky and properly rested, allowing the natural juices to shine through without needing much else. They also have a selection of Peppercorn Jus, Thai Style Chimichurri and Garlic Butter as optional toppers. Many of us at our table went back for seconds.
U.S. Poultry Highlights
We tried the USAPEEC “Sizzle Showdown 2025″winning dish: Secret Spice Roasted Whole Turkey with Coconut Curry. We liked how tender and well-seasoned the meat tasted. The blend of spices carried a gentle heat, while the coconut curry gave it a familiar, comforting depth while still feeling festive.
It was also served alongside some delicious Blue Pea Rice, which was pretty on the plate, aromatic and soft with a subtle floral note.
Another poultry dish we tried was the Signature Entrepôt Angelica Root Roasted U.S. Chicken Leg is gently perfumed with traditional herbs, and the addition of Cordyceps mushrooms and Napa cabbage gives the dish an earthy sweetness.
A personal standout was the Osmanthus Honey Baked Chicken Ham. It is lightly glazed, tender and fragrant. The osmanthus notes are noticeable without being overpowering, and the pairing with caramelised apples and golden raisins brings a festive sweetness that works well.
Additional Mains and Sides
Beyond the steaks and poultry, the buffet includes a variety of other main courses and accompaniments. The Whole Roasted Salmon arrives with white cabbage and dill ragout, topped with fermented bean beurre blanc, providing a lighter alternative to the meat-focused options.
Vegetable dishes include Christmas Spiced Roasted Pumpkin with pumpkin seeds and we also really enjoyed the Wok Fried Brussels Sprouts with chicken waxed sausage, garlic confit and fresh herbs.
Bakery, Salads and Appetisers
The bakery section deserves more attention than it gets. The Toasted Turkish Garlic Bread was a quiet favourite at our table. It is crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and excellent with any of the butters available. Truffle, salted or unsalted, take your pick, or simply drizzle with olive oil and balsamic.
The salad bar provides mesclun and Caesar salad options with various toppings and dressing choices. There are also pre-made salads such as Spanish Roasted Potato and Garlic Salad, Mediterranean Greek Salad and Nashi Pear and Granny Smith Apple Waldorf Salad with caramelised nuts.
Desserts and a White Rabbit Ice Cream Cart
The dessert bar rounds off the meal with both traditional and contemporary offerings. Guests can enjoy Sticky Chinese Red Date Pudding with gula melaka sauce, Festive Log Cakes, and Tropical Ice Jelly with lime, elderflower and longan.
There is also a White Rabbit ice cream cart for those who wish to have a taste of childhood nostelgia for dessert.
Overall, the spread at Entrepôt offers something for most appetites. We enjoyed ourselves, and the dishes that stood out showed both good seasoning and thoughtful use of herbs and spice. (And yes, we are still thinking about that garlic bread).
