Bulim Park gets its name from the Bulim industrial area, which includes the new advanced manufacturing facility Bulim Square. Even though part of an industrial park, Bulim Park has playground!
This made us curious. Would workers be heading to the Bulim Park playground during their break?
So, we made our way to Bulim Park and discovered that, even though it is part of the Jurong Innovation District ecosystem, it is easily accessible from Jurong West. This makes it a new, green destination that can be enjoyed by families and residents living in the area too!
Bulim Park Playground
Currently, only the west section of Bulim Park is open and this is where you can find the Bulim Park Playground, just beside Jurong West Street 22.
The large, red net playground spans three levels and presents plenty of climbing opportunities for kids between the ages of 5 to 12 years old.
There are multiple ways for kids to reach the second level of the playground from the ground level. Cargo net ramps and vertical entryways are some of the ways to get up to the second level.
Once inside, kids can move from one end of the red Bulim Park playground structure to the other, exploring the netted space.
Climbing up another level will take them to the highest level of the playground. Here, there are little hammocks as well as additional climbing discs that create an obstacle course challenge for adventurous kids.
A curved, enclosed slide leads downwards from the top of the playground structure.
Best of all, the net playground is located under a “Sky Corridor” pedestrian bridge, sheltering it from the heat of the sun in the daytime.
Nature Playgarden at Bulim Park
Just beside the net playground, there is a nature playgarden.
Kids can climb up low elevated mounds using ropes, stepping stones or handholds.
A set of see-saws at the top of the mound create more opportunities for play with a nice vantage point.
Wooden stepping stones along with a mini wobbly bridge add to the fun.
And that’s not all! Take a walk along the linear park and you will find pockets of sand play areas, fitted with different pieces of play equipment.
A heap of logs encourage kids to practise their balance.
There is a merry-go-round (with a seat) where kids can go for a spin too!
Other Facilities at Bulim Park
Thoughtfully, there are public toilets available at Bulim Park. They can be found adjacent to the red net playground.
Eventually, Bulim Park will be connected to Bulim Square via a 1.1 km section of the Sky Corridor, which serves as an elevated pathway for pedestrians and cyclists.
According to NParks, when fully completed, the Sky Corridor will span 11 km across Jurong Innovation District.
Currently, if you are planning to pay a visit to Bulim Park, don’t make the mistake that we did. We originally parked at Bulim Square. However, it is a considerable walk to get to the playground as parts of the park are still not yet opened.
Instead, park at 276 Jurong West Street 25 and walk along Jurong West Street 25 to reach Bulim Park.
The Jurong Innovation District is also where you can find the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore and the Hyundai Experience.
