While we had arrived early to avoid the crowds, there was already a queue forming outside the restaurant, which goes to show that many Westies are starting to catch wind of the latest hype in the West!
As if it wasn’t enough of a sign, we had barely settled into our seats when we were told that the three outlet-exclusive dishes had sold out earlier in the day!
The store had arranged to re-stock as soon as possible, and so we decided to take our chances and waited for a while. Thankfully, it was worth the wait as they were able to replenish the supply during our visit.
Here’s a peek into the very very popular outlet-exclusive dishes:
Mala Khan flavour Fried Chicken
Exclusive to the Star Vista outlet, the Mala Khan flavour is crispy fried chicken dipped in specially crafted K-Mala sauce that will spice up your meal.
It’s a roller coaster on the taste buds that leaves you tingling and reaching for your drink. This is sure to dance its way to the stomach of those who are ready for a fiery mala delight!
Jjapagetti Ramyun
Do not be fooled by the simplistic appearance of the Jjapagetti Ramyun (S$16.90). It packs in a hearty meal with its addictively firm texture and savoury black bean sauce. The melted cheese and egg add to the slurp-worthy flavours that come together in a rich play on your palate.
Macho King Rice Ball
Roll up your sleeves for the Macho King Rice Ball (S$13.90), where you are given gloves to DIY your own rice balls from the mix of ingredients of stir-fried pork, seaweed flakes and rice.
Make them big, small, wonky – there are no rules on how you make your rice ball! Every handful is a burst of laughter and delicious bites that you can have enjoy with your family and friends. Who knew food play could taste this good?
Bringing Back Favourites from the Marina Square Outlet
The new outlet not only about introduces new dishes, but also endeavours to bring back classic dishes like the Rabokki (from S$14.90), Kimchi Fried Rice (S$11.90), Bulgogi Rice Bowl (S$18.90).
Favourites from the Marina Square outlet have made their way to the Star Vista outlet to bring a more diverse menu.
