Bag Me Up Bagel House Review: Bagel Speciality Cafe At Everton Park

Bagels, bagels, bagels! If that is your jam then you should definitely check out Bag Me Up Bagel House, the bagel speciality shop at Everton Park.

There are multiple cafes and coffee shops under the HDB blocks at Everton Park. Amongst these are several bakeries like the imaginatively named Quah Song & Co.

Bag Me Up Bagel House at Everton Park

Take a walk around the neighbourhood and you may almost miss Bag Me Up Bagel House, a spot that has been around since 2023. But if you love your bagels, should not give this a miss.

We recently popped into Bag Me Up to hit up the bagels and – spoiler alert – we liked what we had.

The shop space is especially cosy. There are barely enough seats for seven persons inside – so you if you can find a seat inside, it is a good sign to pop in. Alternatively, there are a couple of seat on the outside too. Or, as the name of the shop suggests, you can get a bagel to go.

What’s Bagels are on the Menu at Bag Me Up Bagel House

And there are several bagels at Bag Me Up Bagel House to select from. The bagels are classified into three categories: The Eggy Ones (bagels which feature scrambled eggs), The Lighter Ones (basically PBJ and cream cheese options), and The Classy Ones. The Classy Ones feature some imaginatively named bagels.

We were drawn to the Brekkie bagel ($12.50). This was stacked with caramelised bacon and scrambled eggs. This is finished off with torched cheese and homemade sauce.

The pickles added a nice hit of tanginess to counteract the rich sauce.

Some bagels can be rather hard to bite into. However, what we enjoyed about the bagel at Bag Me Up Bagel House was that the bagel was soft yet chewy. It allowed us to sink our teeth into the sandwich and savour each mouthful. It felt like a very hearty breakfast in a sandwich, especially with fluffy scrambled eggs.

You can even choose to add on more ingredients into the bagel to make it even more loaded.

The other bagel that we tried was the Sale-Man ($16.50). This is a classic bagel combination that features smoked salmon together cream cheese with dill, along with red onions and capers. There was quite a generous portion of cream cheese and the bagel tasted light and nicely layered.

Another bagel that we’ve heard good things about is The Porky Fiesta ($14.50). This bagel has pork carnitas, caramelised bacon along with torched cheese, pickled purple cabbage, jalapenos and onions. We didn’t have a chance to try it on this occasion but will do so the next time we pay Bag Me Up Bagel House a visit.

In case you are wondering what beverage to pair with your bagel, there is a the choice of tea and coffees. As western an item the bagel may be, one of the beverages on the menu is a Yuen Yueng, so you can get a hit of local coffee and tea flavour combinations with your bagel.
