Hidden away on the rooftop of the multi-storey car park are the Alkaff Oasis playgrounds. These offer a spot for kids to enjoy outdoor time at the rooftop garden of the housing estate.
Alkaff Oasis Playgrounds
The Alkaff estate is no stranger to interesting playgrounds. These include the Alkaff Crescent playgrounds at Alkaff Breeze themed after water, wetlands and mountain. And just a short distance away is the Bidadari Park playground, which resembles a bird’s nest.
The Alkaff Oasis playgrounds is another spot where kids can have some fun, but this time at the top of the Block 109 multi-storey car park.
There are various playground structures at the rooftop garden.
Pop-up Play Cube & Honey Tree
Pay a visit to the Alkaff Oasis rooftop playground on the sixth floor of the multi-storey car park and you will come across what looks like a rubik’s cube standing on its edge.
This is a Pop-up Play Cube, an award-winning play structure from Finnish company Lappset Group’s Halo collection.
Crawl inside the Pop-up Play Cube to experience a different perspective on play. It is designed to turn balancing and climbing into a fun and unexpected adventure where even familiar elements feel fresh and new. It reminded us of the Tilting Train Playground at Tiong Bahru Park.
Inside the Play Cube, there is a cargo net for climbing as well as a ball that kids can hang on to.
The Pop-up Play Cube replaces the previous Ant Playground and is only going to be available for a limited time as it will be coming down after Chinese New Year 2026.
The following sections are based on our visit to the Alkaff Oasis playground in October 2024.
Honey Tree Playground
The second playground at Alkaff Oasis is the Honey Tree playground. This low, yellow-and-brown structure is suitable for younger kids. They can climb inside and play pretend that they are inside a treehouse.
If you spot a bear character looking out from the window, that is Gomi the Honey Eating Bear. It is no wonder that there is a beehive just beside him since honey is his favourite food.
Venturing to the other side of the rooftop, there are a few other playgrounds for kids.
Jellyfish and Hammocks
Suitable for older children is the Jellyfish. This structure features a cabin that is elevated off the ground on stilts.
To reach the top, kids will either need to climb up the nets directly underneath the platform or, for more challenge, there is a rope bridge with foot holds and two handholds by the side, that leads up from the ground. It is a good challenge for kids and works out their muscles.
Just beside the Jellyfish playground, there is a set of hammocks that kids can climb up and down on.
Venturing beyond the Alkaff Oasis Playgrounds
Besides the four playgrounds at the rooftop garden, there are also play areas on the ground floor.
These include a merry-go-round as well as an outdoor playground at Alkaff Vista.
If you enjoyed this story, we think that you will also enjoy reading about the playground at Bidadari Park or this other playground at Alkaff Courtview.
