Mandai Wildlife EAST Adventure Play & Climbing Wall Playground
Imagine the scenario where you are with the family and are meeting some friends to pay a visit to Singapore Zoo. However, you find out that they are going to be late and your kid is starting to get restless.

Then, maybe a visit to the free Mandai Wildlife EAST playground is in order.
But wait. Is there a free children’s playground at Mandai Wildlife EAST? Yes, there is. Unlike the more obvious playgrounds at Mandai Wildlife WEST, where Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild ASIA are located, the Mandai Wildlife EAST playground is a bit more tucked away and easy to overlook if you don’t know where it is.
The reason why is because the free Mandai Wildlife EAST playground is located on an outdoor mezzanine area.
To find the free Mandai Wildlife EAST playground, head towards the Exploria attraction. On the left of the entrance to Exploria, you will find a set of outdoor stairs and a signage that points towards the Toy Doctor.
Make your way up the stairs and follow the short path and you will arrive at the Adventure Play & Climbing Wall Playground.
Adventure Play Playground
The play area here is a rather simple affair. It is suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years old. Children below 6 years old need to be accompanied by an adult.
The first section, on the left as your approach the playground, is the Adventure Play area. This is made up of a series of “trunks” that give the area a hint of a forested look.
There is a Together Swing here. This is the type of swing that parents can use to accompany their toddler in a bucket seat.
The other piece of play equipment is a bright yellow two-person see-saw. There are two seats with seat belts at the ends of the see saws and kids can enjoy swaying up and down on the play equipment.
Giant Climbing Wall
The other feature at the playground is a Giant Climbing Wall. This is designed for kids from the ages of 8 to 12 years old.
Even though it is called the Giant Climbing Wall, it more like a slope and laid out over three tiers.
There set of climbing hand and footholds provide something for kids to grip on as they scale up the slope. There is also climbing rope that they can use for assistance as well.
From the second level down to the ground level, there is a straight, open slide for kids to swoosh down too.
For those who don’t wish to climb up the slope, there are some stairs to the left of the Giant Climbing Wall that can be used to reach the top.
Mandai Wildlife EAST Playground
The Mandai Wildlife EAST Playground is a simple outdoor play spot. If you need some where to entertain the kids for a while before or after a visit to the attractions, pay it a visit for some simple fun.
