Hangyodon Marine Discovery at Singapore Oceanarium: Immersive Installations about Marine Life and Conservation
From now till 4 January 2026, look out for installations scattered throughout the Oceanarium, where Hangyodon’s cheerful spirit and ocean-saving mission come to life through vibrant storytelling, interactive experiences and inspiring conservation learning.
Kids will enjoy spotting Hanyodong accompanied by his trusty sidekick, Sayuri the Octopus, while learning more about the underwater world.
Lift the flaps to find out fun educational facts – the bright and colourful graphics are so inviting, don’t be surprised if your kids start spouting random facts about marine life after gleaning all these bite-sized nuggets of information!
The message of the importance of conservation rings clear in many of the installations, and it’s a great opportunity to teach our kids about what they can do to keep our waters clean and protect marine life, and to instill in them a deeper appreciation for the ocean.
Photo opportunities galore at Singapore Oceanarium
Want to get up close and personal with Hangyodon? Head to the Open Ocean zone for a meet & greet session (3 pm daily), where you’ll get to pose for pictures with the adorable mascots (including Mika the manta ray, Singapore Oceanarium’s very own mascot).
An additional 12 pm session is available on Fridays to Sundays and public holidays.
Can’t make it for the meet & greet? Don’t worry, you can still snap that insta-worthy shot with a life-size installation of Hangyodon and Sayuri, located opposite Jewel of Discovery.

And you definitely can’t miss the 5.5 metre giant inflatable located right at the entrance, warmly greeting all visitors to the Singapore Oceanarium.
