Singapore’s beach scene gets a vibrant refresh this March with the debut of Sentosa Beach Fest, a first-of-its-kind event that transforms Siloso Beach into an energetic playground designed for kids, parents, and anyone looking to move, play, and bond by the sea.

Sentosa Beach Fest: A New Kind of Beach Day for Families

Running from 14 to 22 March 2026, the festival reimagines the classic beach day. Instead of just sandcastle-building and swimming, families can expect a lively, all-day experience filled with play zones, light fitness, and entertainment. It’s less about intense training and more about discovering how fun movement can be — especially when shared together.

For families, the biggest draw is Playground, the festival’s dedicated play zone that feels like a dream come true for kids. With shaded areas and food next door, it’s easy for families to hang out. It is definitely not a quick activity stop as children and adults seemed to come out smiling and re-enter again and again.

Adventure Land, a massive inflatable obstacle course

At its centre is Adventure Land, a massive inflatable obstacle course that immediately catches the eye — a sprawling, colourful structure where children can climb, bounce, slide, and scramble to their heart’s content. Built for beach terrain, it’s both safe and exciting, offering just enough challenge to keep kids engaged without feeling overwhelming.

Unfortunately, given its size, there is also a 6 year old minimum age requirement. Younger kids can hang out just outside the inflatable at the Supersized Board Games at Social Hub, which features large, jenga-like soft play cushions and giant Tic-Tac-Toe, which are a gentler, more tactile play experience.

That said, if this is not of interest to your children, Nestopia is right next door and will definitely buy parents time if they have signed up for classes at the festival.

A short walk away, the Ninja Lab obstacle course brings a different kind of energy. While the setups can be tough — even for adults — they add a layer of excitement that’s hard to resist.

live version of Physical: Asia

For kids, it’s just as entertaining to watch participants take on the course, almost like seeing a live version of Physical: Asia unfold before their eyes. There’s something captivating about seeing people swing, leap, and attempt to conquer obstacles on shifting sand.

For those feeling brave, kids can also step in and give it their best shot: they can try swinging between ropes and wheels, traversing between two smooth panels, or scrambling up features like the Titan’s slope. It will definitely be a workout for adults and kids alike.

The Crowd Favourite: Ropes, Strength & Serious Spectacle

The Crowd Favourite: Ropes, Strength & Serious Spectacle

If there’s one area that consistently draws a crowd, it seemed like it would be the Battle Rope Challenge and calisthenics zone by Defy Gravity.

The ropes are thick and heavy, not for the faint hearted, and it seemed also oddly mesmerizing for kids to watch the waves as adults try this full-body test of endurance. It could be also perhaps because this station is in the shade, and something that they might be able to at least pick up and move, though most will need a parent on the other rope, which makes it even more fun as a shared challenge.

the calisthenics showcases

For those who enjoy watching peak physical performance, the calisthenics showcases are a highlight. Athletes move with a level of control and strength that feels almost unreal — think gymnasts, but with a raw, beachside, bodyweight twist. From muscle-ups to gravity-defying holds, it’s both inspiring and entertaining.

If it sparks curiosity, families can even join in at the Gravity101 clinics, where instructors break down movements and help beginners get a feel for calisthenics in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Or simply explore the Cali-Gym area and try out some of the specialised equipment for fun.

Beach Sports & Easy Wins for Families

For a more relaxed pace, the Stadium zone offers a lineup of family-friendly beach sports like volleyball, football, netball, and ultimate frisbee.

This is where things feel casual and inclusive; families can jump into a game, learn the basics from coaches, or just kick a ball around together. It’s perfect for kids trying something new without the pressure of competition, and for parents who want to stay active without committing to a structured session.

Quick Bite: Refuel Zone

The Refuel zone keeps things convenient with quick bites and drinks available throughout the festival. That said, the options are fairly basic and similar to what is expected at most large-scale events, but perhaps there should have been some cleaner meal options given the nature of the event.
