ParkView @ Bidadari overlooks Alkaff Lake, which pays homage to the former Alkaff Lake Gardens. The lake is part of Bidadari Park, where you will find the Adventure Playwoods playground. But did you know that kids and families can enjoy some play time at the ParkView @ Bidadari playgrounds, just next to Alkaff Lake?
ParkView @ Bidadari Playground: Lakehouse Playground
The Lakehouse Playground is inspired by the beauty of Alkaff Lake and its history.
At the heart of the playground, located in front of Block 233B, is a boat play structure. This recalls the boating activity that once took place on the lake.
Kids can climb up to the deck of the boat playground. A yellow slide at the stern of the boat allows them to swoosh back to the ground.
The soft pastel tones of the playground reflect the lake and its surrounding natural landscape. Even the gentle slopes and mounds of the playground recall the lake’s gentle banks.
We loved the lily pad stepping stones that reflect the flora found at the lake.
There are also a pair of interactive poles at the ParkEdge @ Bidadari playground. Designed to look like fishing rods, the poles encourage kids (and adults) to have some fun spinning the reel at the bottom to activate the lights on the pole to see who can get to the top fastest.
The Lakehouse Playground is connected to the Alkaff Lake boardwalk by a regular footpath, making it easily accessible from the lake.
Alternatively, kids can also take a netted passageway that connects the boardwalk to the playground. This netted path has bouncy pads as well as elevated stepping stones for an added dose of fun.
The Lakehouse Playground is designed for kids between the ages of 5 to 12 years old.
Petite Lake Playground
Younger ones between 2 and 6 years old can make their way to the Petite Lake Playground a stone’s throw away.
Found in front of Block 233A, this smaller playground also borrows inspiration from Alkaff Lake.
Sitting on top of a mound is an Aquatic Ship Slide.

A special feature of the Aquatic Ship Slide is its ship’s wheel. Kids can turn the wheel to activate sounds and imagine that they are sailing off on an adventure.
There is also a play panel with mini prompts for kids like “How many small orange fish can you find?”. Spin the blocks to see what kids should search for around the playground.
Another feature of the Petite Lake Playground at Park Edge @ Alkaff is a sensory path. Tiles fitted with materials such as pebbles and grass introduce kids to different textures.
Rooftop Garden & Playground
Head to the rooftop garden above the multi-purpose car park at ParkEdge @ Bidadari and you discover a tiny garden.
Dedicated to tiny garden friends like spiders and beetles, and the special spaces that they call home, this garden has a small playground with a slide, and also manages to squeeze in a bucket swing.
Kids can also sway back and forth on a cute, red ladybird rocker.
There is also ample seating for parents and caregivers to take a rest while keeping an eye on their charges.
ParkView @ Bidadari Playgrounds
The ParkView @ Bidadari Playgrounds are a convenient spot for families visiting to Alkaff Lake and looking for a play spot. They provide an alternative to the Adventure Playwoods playground for families looking for simple play.
