Wondering what it’s like glamping at Singapore Oceanarium? Is it kid-friendly? How comfortable are the tents and beds? Would there be insider peeks after hours? We review Ocean Dreams – Singapore Oceanarium’s latest glamping sensation!

Before parenthood, I spent a good five figure sum on dive trips in pursuit of extraordinary marine encounters. With some luck, I had the chance to witness hammerhead sharks in Layang Layang, mandarin fish in Manado, manta rays and nurse sharks in Bali, and eagle rays in Sipadan.
It has been over a decade since my last dive, which is why discovering a glamping experience that offers educational tours and intimate moments with marine creatures, not limited to those I once traveled far to see, at just a fraction of what I once spent, feels nothing short of incredible.

Ocean Dreams Glamping at Singapore Oceanarium
Resorts World Sentosa has relaunched Ocean Dreams with an upgrade in experience. It is now a glamping affair where marine wonders and luxury converge.
Running across four select weekends between November to December 2025, the 2D1N expedition offers a rare opportunity to explore the Singapore Oceanarium beyond its usual hours, complete with a private behind-the-scenes tour and a rare encounter with its mesmerising marine life after dark.
Our Accommodation at Singapore Oceanarium: Glamping Tents
The private glamping tents were set before the awe-inspiring backdrop in the Open Ocean zone, where manta rays, sharks and other marine wonders greeted us every time we peeped out of our door.
Thoughtfully styled with cozy details and ambient lighting, the tent was furnished with air mattresses, Axolotl cushions (to my girls’ delight), blankets, towels, hair dryer, bedside lamp, charging access and a bladeless fan for those who prefer oscillations within the air-conditioned venue.
You can also find a well stocked snack and beverage basket that might be perfect for those feeling peckish or satisfy the supper cravings.
A pair of deck chairs were provided outside each tent for guests to indulge in the serene view before them.

My girls loved to camp by the window to see the marine passersby. As I watched one of them reading before bed, framed by that same view, I realized how rare and special this experience truly is.
The girls slept wonderfully, though I found myself waking at the faintest sound of tent zippers as others headed to the restroom during the night. (Mum life!) Nothing a pair of earplugs couldn’t fix!
The Ocean Gallery tents accommodate up to four guests, while the larger Ocean Dome tent welcomes groups of up to eight.
Amenities around the tent
There is a dedicated activity corner that keeps little hands busy with crafts and activity sheets. Marine themed puzzles, books, colouring sheet and badge making are some of the things that my kids enjoyed.
A curated hot beverage station is available throughout the night for those who wish to enjoy a comforting warm drink.
Communal washrooms are thoughtfully stocked with premium shampoo and body wash, offering guests a soothing and refreshing shower experience.
Private Tours at Ocean Dreams
Private Guided Tour – Front of House
The programme kicked off with an exclusive front-of-house tour led by our knowledgeable guide, Chin. We were treated to a serene view of the stunning circular aquarium, known as a kreisel, where sea jellies floated gracefully, setting a tranquil tone for the journey ahead.
We explored one of the Oceanarium’s newest zones, Ancient Waters, where we uncovered the ocean’s prehistoric past through Chin’s storytelling and a variety of interactive discovery points. Along the way, we admired live habitats that represent the fascinating remnants of that ancient world.
Next, we made our way to Singapore’s Coast, another recently introduced zone that celebrates the rich marine biodiversity along Singapore’s shoreline, featuring native species and unique coastal ecosystems.
A highlight of this area was the interactive habitat, where the kids could dip their hands into the tank for a close-up encounter with cleaner shrimps. A truly hands-on and memorable adventure!
As we entered the Deep Ocean zone, the “Mystery of the Deep” scavenger hunt bingo game unfolded, bringing learning to life in a fun and engaging way.
Private Guided Tour – Behind the Scenes at Singapore Oceanarium
On Day 2, we went behind the scenes to see how food is prepared for the marine animals and visited the aquarist labs, where juvenile sea creatures are bred, nurtured, and cared for before being introduced into the main habitats.
The tour concluded on a high note as guests were given the rare opportunity to witness a manta ray feeding session, typically closed to the public.
We were surprised to learn that these massive creatures feed on tiny plankton while swimming with their mouths wide open. To prevent the food from drifting away, aquarists use a scoop-feeding method instead of scattering it directly into the water.
With the private guided tour, children and adults are invited to uncover fascinating stories of marine life, creating an intimate adventure that we didn’t expect.
Marine Life After Dark
After dinner, guests were free to take part in the activities or wander through the Oceanarium to experience the marine world after dark. With a relaxed, go-at-your-own-pace approach, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy meaningful family time, however you choose to spend it.
It was a privilege to explore Singapore Oceanarium without the usual crowds and observe the marine animals without anyone obstructing views.
Dinner and Breakfast at Ocean Dreams

A full board dining experience was included with our stay. Dinner was served buffet-style at the F&B deck, conveniently located just an escalator ride from our final tour stop.
The moving sea jelly lamp was an interesting detail, perfectly tying the decor to the oceanic vibe with a playful touch.
The next morning, breakfast was enjoyed at the glamping zone, allowing us to take in the scenic view one last time before packing up. My girl definitely enjoyed her breakfast, happily claiming a deck chair all to herself!
After breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised by a descent of divers, appearing in the tank to greet everyone with a warm and cheerful welcome. That’s a brilliant photo opportunity for every glamper!
Take Home Mementos
A take-home amenities pouch featuring a marine themed eye mask and a pair of socks will be given to each participating glamper. Guests will also receive thoughtful keepsakes such as a personalised lanyard, enamel pin, animal badges and printed family photographs.
Our Verdict After Glamping at Singapore Oceanarium

Whether it’s sharing stories under the soft glow of the tent, marveling at the marine life just beyond, or simply slowing down together, the experience is intimate, elevated, and unforgettable.
Weeks later, the girls are still talking about the manta rays and lessons learnt! While the price may be high, if you have a passion for marine life, the enriching tours and unique experiences could be well worth it.
