Fans of Sanrio’s Hangyodon, swim over to Wong Fu Fu to dine with the cute and quirky half-fish, half-human at its latest pop-up collaboration. 

The Hangyodon pop-up at Wong Fu Fu cafe along North Bridge Road is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Launched on 7 January 2026, the limited time, themed pop-up will immerse you into Hangyodon’s world with cute decor accompanied by an equally kawaii set of menu creations.

Hangyodon, the lovable Sanrio character, was first introduced in 1985 and just celebrated his 40th anniversary. He is known for his goofy smile and big heart, as well his blueish appearance and fins. His cheerful spirit and playful charm have made him a favourite amongst fans.

The Hangyodon Pop-up at Wong Fu Fu offers a variety of different options that will dive you into the kawaii realm of Hangyodon. 

There are three choices of mains: Hangyodon’s Favourite Chilled Ramen, Hangyodon’s Mantou Burger and Hangyodon’s Ocean Feast. When we visit the Wong Fu Fu pop-up, we gave the first two a try.

What better way to take the plunge than by tucking into one of Hangyodon’s favourite foods – Chilled Ramen ($23.90)! The cute mini bowl features Hangyodon likeness on the side and comes packed with a heap of chilled ramen, topped with chilled cucumber, egg strips, crab stick and mushroom. The mini bowl is topped off with a boiled egg.

Give it a good toss to mix the noodles with the Japanese dashi sauce at the bottom of the bowl.

Accompanying the chilled ramen is a refreshing mini smoked duck salad. 

Each Hangyodon Favourite Chilled Ramen set comes with a free Hangyodon toy worth $9.90.

Hangyodon’s Mantou Burger ($21.90) features a grilled beef patty along with cheddar cheese, tomato and coral lettuce, sandwiched between a blue, housemade mantou bun. 

Hangyodon’s face, along with a set of fins, make this burger almost too cute to bite into. 

The burger comes with a side of fries and a garden salad, decorated with heart-shaped cheese and carrots.

Another way to satisfy the munchies is to pick up a limited-edition Hangyodon snack box. The cute paper box features Hangyodon with his best friend, Sayui, the cheerful and optimistic octopus on the front. 

There are eight options available. These include Nacho Cheese Fries ($12.90) to Cheese Sticks ($6.90) to Crispy Taiwan Salt and Pepper Chicken ($13.90). 

We had the the Korean Fried Chicken with Soy Garlic Glaze ($14.90) and enjoyed popping them into our mouths.

No kawaii experience would be complete without something sweet. 

Drinks available on the Hangyodon themed menu range from matcha to latte to chocolate options. We had the Ocean Friend Matcha Latte ($11.90) and the Ocean Breeze Iced Cafe Latte ($11.90).

To end off the meal, there is the fluffy Hangyodon Swiss Roll ($14.90) with refreshing bubblegum-flavoured fresh cream.

Want to experience the cute Hangyodon dishes for yourself? Pay a visit to Wong Fu Fu at North Bridge Road, at the edge of Kampong Glam, for this limited time menu. 

Take note that there is a minimum spend of $20 per person and reservations are recommended. Children 12 and under, between 95 cm and 135 cm in height, or occupying a seat (including baby chairs), must order one kid’s meal or snack.
