Saddle up for a fun ride, Gallop Stable (formerly located at Bukit Timah’s Horsecity) has reopened at its new location in Sembawang. Providing horse riding lessons and activities for the public, Gallop Stable is the perfect place to bring your budding equestrians or pony lovers.
Gallop Stable at Sembawang: Pony Joy Ride

A highlight of a visit to Gallop Stable in Sembawang, pony joy rides ($15 for a ~5min ride) are available for children as young as 3 years and above.
These rides are a great way for kids to have a taste of the thrills of horse-back riding, within a safe and controlled environment. Helmets are provided, and rides are supervised and led by trained staff.

SNOW MUCH TO CELEBRATE: Christmas Fun at The Centrepoint
Mr 6 year old enjoyed his first ever riding experience thoroughly, his only complaint was that he wished it could have lasted longer! For kids interested in more extensive riding lessons, they will be pleased to know that Gallop Stable offers these too.
We liked that the staff were very encouraging and friendly, while at the same time very safety-conscious.
For example, when horses were being led from one area of the sprawling complex to another, the staff always made sure that we stayed out of the way so as not to get in the way of the horses.
They also made sure to explain clearly to the kids not to stand behind the horses and ponies, as they are unable to see behind them.
Stable Visit and Pony Feeding
Stop by the stables, home to almost a hundred horses and ponies, for a visit with the horses ($5/pax – note that this is a free-and-easy visit and not a guided tour).
Kids will be thrilled to get up close and personal with the horses, and try their hand at feeding the ponies ($2 for a pack of carrots).
A scoop is provided for each child to feed the ponies with.
For kids who are less adventurous, this is a great way for them to get acclimatised to these gentle beasts. Miss 4 year old was initially very hesitant and wary of the ponies, but eventually plucked up the courage to try her hand at feeding them on her own.
Arts & Craft Activities
For some indoor fun, pop by the Jackuda room for some craft activities ($2-$15). Kids can try their hand at activities such as window art, canvas painting and bracelet making.
Don’t miss out on horseshoe painting – a unique craft activity that also enables kids to bring home a meaningful keepsake of their time at Gallop.sg.
Archery
For older kids looking for some more outdoor action, there is a small archery course at Gallop Stable where they can try their hand at archery ($15 for 16 arrows funshoot). There is even virtual archery ($15 for 10 minutes), as well as horseback archery classes available.
