The ferry service between Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal got underway this Thursday, 7 July 2022, morning at 8.30 am. This marks the return of the highly-anticipated link which will allow passengers to directly reach the east Johor destination.

The Desaru ferry terminal is operated by Desaru Link Ferry Services, a subsidiary of Batam Fast Ferry. The journey takes approximately 90 minutes.

During the initial period, the ferry will operate one round trip service from Thursday to Sunday. With the Hari Raya Haji long weekend taking place in both Singapore and Malaysia this weekend, the ferry service will be extended till Monday, 11 July 2022.

The frequency of the ferry services will scale up in accordance with demand.

In conjunction with the launch of the Desaru ferry service, there will be an opening promotion from 7 July to 6 October 2022 where customers can purchase discounted tickets at $98 with a promo code available on the website.

Desaru Coast has also introduced special packages for hotel stays and golfing as well as new day packages, all inclusive of return ferry tickets. These are available from the Desaru Coast website.
