One of the butterflies found at the Fragile Forest new butterfly aviary is the Clipper butterfly, a species which was once found in Singapore but is now extinct locally.

The butterflies are bred in the Fragile Forest’s behind the scenes area. Once they emerge from the chrysalis, they are then transferred to the Fragile Forest butterfly aviary.

Visitors to the butterfly aviary may find the free-flying butterflies choosing to land on them. However, visitors are encouraged not to reach out and touch the butterflies as improper handling may damage the butterflies’ wings.
