It is time for hanami once again at Flower Dome as Sakura Matsuri 2019 at Gardens by the Bay Singapore returns from Saturday, 9 March to Sunday, 31 March 2019.
During this fleeting period, catch beautiful cherry blossoms and experience Japanese culture at this popular floral display at Gardens by the Bay.
Cherry Blossoms in Singapore
Inside the Flower Dome, delicate cherry blossoms greet the eye. The pink and white petals of the cherry blossoms surround a pretty jinrickshaw display by the entrance. Stepping through a rustic Japanese-style gate, an impressive red Torii gate unveils the view of the Flower Field display below.
A traditional Japanese tea house or chashitsu occupies the centre of the Flower Field. This is enveloped on multiple sides by cherry trees.

However, the most popular spot for photo-takers is at the row of torii gates. 15 bright red Torii gates, iconic sights found in Japan, create a picture-postcard tunnel that will get you whipping out your camera to take some snaps with family and friends.
Wandering under the red torii gates and enjoying the cool air within the beautiful Flower Dome, it almost feels like springtime in Japan – which is probably the allure of visiting Sakura Matsuri 2019 at Gardens by the Bay.
Not all the cherry trees have bloomed yet and will probably only do so over the next two weeks.
