Land of Giants
Explore a world beyond your imagination as you step into the Land of Giants at Singapore Zoo and River Safari for some super-sized fun during the upcoming school holidays.
Find yourself surrounded by 20 larger-than-life invertebrates (animals without backbones) at Singapore Zoo’s Land of Giants trail. While they may be small and nondescript, invertebrates have a huge impact on our ecosystems. By showcasing their amazing adaptations in a macro way, this seasonal outdoor exhibit coupled with real life encounters of the pint-sized creatures hopes to inspire in guests a fascination of the incredible world of invertebrates.
Spot the orchid mantis, net-casting spider and more as you wind through the trail! Follow the ants to different activity pit stops and create a creepy crawler, enjoy a puppetry performance or spy on some invertebrates through the bug magnifier. Remember to snap a photo with the giant dung beetle and lime butterfly mascots, for a larger than life memento.
Over at River Safari, embark on the super-sized edition of River Trails and discover gigantic facts about our river dwellers. Don’t forget to marvel at the Mekong giant catfish and giant freshwater stingray. Then join in the River Talk and meet one of the largest flying birds and the world’s largest rodent! Canola the manatee mascot also awaits for photos galore.
Set off on an adventure into the Land of Giants, and get to know the amazing abilities of insects at Singapore Zoo and majestic river giants at River Safari, every weekend from 18 November to 31 December, and on Christmas Day.
