KiidsConnect 2017 is a landmark event, celebrating the energy, diversity and talents of young people in the arts. It is a peer-to-peer arts carnival by and for young people. As an arts carnival, it features not only the performing talents of young people aged 7 – 12, but also offers a platform for young leaders to be nurtured, especially those interested in conceptualizing, managing and lead events in the arts. There is also a section on young creators and entrepreneurs where handcrafted items made by young people are available for sale.

KiidsConnect 2017 performances

31 May
Double-bill #1 featuring – Piknowcchio Playstore & In Transit
The double-bill features two performances, Piknowcchio Playstore & In Transit, featuring performers from Farrer Park and Tampines Primary Schools. Each production examines a journey of self-discovery – what does it mean to know oneself, to know what one needs, wishes and desires.

Performance times: 3pm and 7pm

Foyer booths begin from 2.15pm (for 3pm show) and 6.15pm (for 7pm show)

 

1 June
Double-bill #1 featuring – The Chosen Cat & I Wish
The double-bill features two performances, The Chosen Cat & I Wish, featuring performers from Anderson Primary School and Maris Stella High School. Both are adaptations of two very popular productions, Cats and Wizard of Oz. The students workshopped ideas on how they would re-invent, re-interpret and offer their spin to these popular works.

Performance times: 3pm and 7pm

Foyer booths begin from 2.15pm (for 3pm show) and 6.15pm (for 7pm show)

 

2 June
Double-bill #1 featuring – The Four Harmonious Friends & By The Book
The double-bill features two performances, The Four Harmonious Friends & By The Book, featuring performers from Palm View and Sengkang Green Primary School. Palm View explores the power of friendship and collaboration while the second presents a tale of the possible brilliance our young can generate when they are offered room to imagine.

Performance times: 3pm and 7pm

Foyer booths begin from 2.15pm (for 3pm show) and 6.15pm (for 7pm show)
