Our grandparents play an important role in our families as they nurture and impart life values to us. In celebration of Grandparents’ Day on Sunday, 26 November, let’s thank our grandparents for all they have done for the family.

Bring your entire family including your grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins to spend family time and celebrate Grandparents’ Day with Families for Life at the National Museum! We have prepared loads of fun and memorable activities and games!

Register now as a family and receive a Families for Life goodie bag, which includes a pen and Tumbler. The goodie bag is available on a first-come-first-served basis, while stock last!

Remember to capture your family portrait at the facade of the National Museum and and make it a truly memorable family time!

– FFL Drawing Competition
For budding children artists, come and join in the FFL Drawing Competition to win attractive prizes!

– Witness to War: Remembering 1942 (Exhibition)
Walk down memory lane at the  “Witness to War: Remembering 1942” exhibition, showcasing the complexities of the events that led to the fall of Singapore, paying homage to the extraordinary tenacity with which these men and women bore their circumstances.

– Family Workshop – My Favourite 80’s Show!
Create your own personalised “television set” featuring your favourite 1980s TV programmes and your child’s favourite cartoons, and illustrate a storyline with your young one and bring it to life on your TV box!

– Movie Screening “ The Kid from the Big Apple”
Wind down and enjoy the movie “THE KID FROM THE BIG APPLE 我来自纽约” about a little girl brought up in New York who goes and stay with her traditional Chinese doctor grandfather in Malaysia for the first time.

Look out for the Families for Life signature mobile café for complimentary snacks and drinks and play as a family at the fun games and activities!

There will be lots of other fun family-friendly activities such as bouncy castles, music performances and exhibitions around the National Museum.
