Culture buffs are in for a treat, with lots of arts performances and museum programmes intended for kids taking place this weekend.

 

1. The Cat in the Hat (Mandarin)

After successful stagings of Dr Seuss’s iconic book The Cat in the Hat, the SRT’s Little Company now presents the production in Mandarin for kids aged two and above. Find out more.

 

2. Inclusive Sports Festival 2018

Singapore Sports Hub

Foster a greater spirit of inclusiveness and enjoy a day of sporting activities with people from all walks of life at this sports festival. Workshops and tryouts include adaptive climbing, disabled diving and more. Details.

 

3. Red Dot August Performances at Esplanade

4 & 5 Aug

Esplanade Outdoor Theatre

As part its National Day celebrations, the Esplanade is presenting a series of free performances by local artists and schools during the month of August. This weekend: a joint performance on Saturday by the symphonic bands from Catholic High School and Singapore Polytechnic, and the St Patrick’s School Military Band on Sunday.

4. Straits Family Sundays: Peranakan Portraits

5 Aug, 1 pm to 5 pm
