Not all superheroes wear capes – at least not the heroes who maintain law and order in our safe abode we call Singapore. This is what we learnt from a visit to the Police Heritage Centre as part of Children’s Season.

A Special Look

Visiting the Police Heritage Centre, SingaporeJointly presented with the National Heritage Board and the Museum Roundtable, the 1.5-hour Children’s Season outreach programme at the Police Heritage Centre has been specially designed for families with young children between the ages of 3 to 12 years old.

Through the easy-to-comprehend, guided tour of the Police Heritage Centre, history was brought to life in front of the children’s eyes. Items on display were actual artefacts that police used in the past, rather than mock-ups or replicas.

Exhibit at Police Heritage CentreThe interactive nature of selected exhibits certainly piqued children’s curiosity, and there were also opportunities to take interesting photos as a keepsake from the Police Heritage Centre visit.
