Creative Art Workshop with Ranger Anne: Art Inspired by Fun Animal Stories

Creative Art Workshop with Ranger Anne

GIVEAWAY: Stand to Win a Full Set of The Ranger Anne Series.
Take part by filling up the form below!

Ranger Anne has one of the best jobs in the world – she takes care of animals and plays with them!

She also happens to be the eponymous character of the Ranger Anne book series written by Anita Sebastian, a local writer and editor, who is a zoologist by training.

Anita draws from her past experience working at the Night Safari to create stories about Ranger Anne’s encounter with various animals. Each tale is woven around interesting facts about the animal it features, making it a fun, yet informative read.

These stories will be the inspiration for the young participants of ‘Creative Art Workshop with Ranger Anne’, presented by the publisher of the Ranger Anne series – Armour Publishing – in collaboration with heART Studio.

From Stories to Paintings

‘Creative Art Workshop with Ranger Anne’ is created with 5- to 12-year-olds in mind. These young ones will enjoy a storytelling session, where they will make interesting discoveries about animals from some of the books in the Ranger Anne series.

Using what they have learnt, they will make silhouette paintings of the animals, effectively engaging both the left and right sides of their brains.

Silhouette painting is an art form that makes use of the recognisable shape of the subject matter, usually over a contrasting background, to bring the artwork to life.

Silhouette PaintingDon’t worry if your child doesn’t have prior experience in silhouette painting. The art instructors from heART Studio will guide the participants every step of the way.

The artwork will be done using acrylic paint on canvas.
