A brand new attraction, SEA LIFE Malaysia, is set to open at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort in the fourth quarter of 2018. SEA LIFE at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort
SEA LIFE Malaysia will have more than 25 display tanks organised into 11 habitat zones. It will focus on creating an experience of a voyage to the depths of the ocean with exhibits will be designed with children in mind. Through these, its aim is to inspire children to learn about the world’s oceans.
At SEA LIFE Malaysia, visitors can expect to see marine creatures such as seahorses, rays, sharks and sea jellies. Some of the key habitat zones will include Shoaling Ring, Ocean View, Ocean Tunnel and Rock Pools. There will also be special behind-the-scenes tours conducted where visitors can learn about how the animals are cared for.
One of the habitat zones at SEA LIFE Malaysia will showcase the Malaysia rainforest and the many animals that live in that habitat. A highlight of this zone will be the Rafflesia flower, the world’s largest flower.
The SEA LIFE brand is owned by Merlin Entertainments which also owns LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. There are more than 50 SEA LIFE brand attractions worldwide, with the next closest one being in Bangkok.
With its location within LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, SEA LIFE Malaysia will incorporate some elements of LEGO into its exhibits. For example, visitors can expect to see LEGO sea creatures and LEGO Mini-Figures around SEA LIFE Malaysia.
“We are very excited to welcome SEA LIFE to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, the top family destination in Asia. Children will get to interact with the sea creatures up-close, and learn about their natural habitats. It is the first family resort in Malaysia to offer interactive and educational marine life experience,” said Kurt Stocks, General Manager at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
