The Great Singapore Replay Brings Back Great Local Hit Music

The Great Singapore Replay

Expect to hear great music in the weeks to come as classic songs by Singapore bands and musicians get a make-over in The Great Singapore Replay.

Hits from local bands such as Humpback Oak, Kick! and Concave Scream, will be remade through collaborations between the stalwarts of Singapore’s music scene and upcoming talents.

Over 10 weeks, 10 musical collaborations will take place between the emerging and established artists. 10 Singapore hits will be remade and then be put to the public vote. Classics being “replayed” include favourites such as Jane by Kick!, Roses by Gingerbread, and The Mad Chinaman by Dick Lee.

What to Look Out For

Starting at the SHINE Festival taking place from 30 June to 2 July, the public can stop by the Pop-Up Noise: The Great Singapore Replay booth to see The Great Singapore Replay’s Jukebox and take park in a contest for a chance to win a limited edition The Great Singapore Replay Collectible Band Set worth $100.

Keep a look out for webisodes of the artist collaborations on The Great Singapore Replay website and vote for your favourite on 13 July.

The artistes will then perform their reimagined songs at a showcase concert,  Pop-Up Noise: The Great Singapore Replay, on 9 September 2017 at Clarke Quay Central. Tickets to the concert are free and available here.
