1. The Art of Speed

Let your kids explore the idea of cars, speed and movement at Playeum’s new Children’s Centre for Creativity, the first dedicated creative space for children in Asia. There are four interconnected spaces offering different sensory environments where children can play and let their imagination run free. More details here.

THE REEL WORLD: Create a Family Movie Little Day Outing!

FLY HIGH: Movement X, Parkour and Martial Arts for Superfly Kids!

It’s an inter-galactic tale about inter-species friendship. A boy finds a plane in his cupboard and flies it to the moon, where he meets a passing Martian who has landed there too. Will the pair become friends and can they find their way home? This is the last weekend to catch this play, adapted from the award-winning book by Oliver Jeffers, so hurry and book your tickets now. 3. National Museum of Singapore’s Opening Weekend Carnival

19 & 20 Sep
National Museum of Singapore

The National Museum of Singapore marks the reopening of its permanent galleries with a special weekend carnival. Look out for activities such as henna painting, hat-making, paper aeroplane folding and even dress up in vintage costumes. Go on special tours through the new galleries and rediscover Singapore’s history through stories and artefacts. Find more here.

4. Hotel Transylvania 2 Dress Up Party

19 Sep, 1 pm & 2.45 pm
GV Grand, Great World City

Get creative and dress up the kids as the characters from Hotel Transylvania 2 for this movie launch party. There are lots of fun activities in store such as face painting and airbrush tattoo, as well as attractive prizes to be won at the best dressed contest.

5. Wan Qing Mid-Autumn 2015

19 to 27 Sep
Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall
Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations kick off this weeknd at the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall. Enjoy a display of lantern sculptures at the hall, take part in lantern-making workshops and view art and craft demonstrations. Find more here.

6. The Cat in the Hat

26 Aug to 27 Sep, 11 am and 2 pm
DBS Arts Centre

A dull, rainy afternoon turns into one amazing adventure when Sally and her brother get a surprise visit from the Cat in the Hat. This witty and joyous play is a perfect chance for kids and adults alike to learn something about grammar, phonics and, more importantly, morality and the human spirit.

7. Early Read Carnival

19 Sep, 1 pm to 7 pm
Jurong Regional Library Activity Zone

Explore how you can cultivate a love of reading in your little one through simple daily actions like singing, talking, playing and drawing. You’ll also learn how activities like clay modelling can make the reading experience much more fun for both kids and parents.
