Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum
It is the first weekend that the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum is open to the Public. Get to view Prince, Apollonia and Twinky, the dinosaur fossils that take centerstage at the Museum and countless other taxidermised animal specimens that show off the biodiversity found in the world. As a teaching museum, older kids would likely better appreciate what the Museum has to offer.
If you are planning a visit, don’t forget to download our special Activity Sheet. 3. PLAYtime! The Magic Treetop
3 to 10, 12 & 13 May
Esplanade Recital Studio
Fly up to The Magic Treetop with Mama Robin as she waits excitedly for Baby Robin to hatch. But something is not quite right… The egg is not in its nest! Little ones will discover a world of action words and rhythms through theatre, music and interactive fun in The Magic Treetop. Recommended for children aged 2–4 years old.
4. Weekend Markets at D’Kranji Farm Resort and Bollywood Veggies
1 to 3 May
10 Neo Tiew Land 2 and 100 Neo Tiew Road
Sample food, pick up artisanal food products and organic produce at this weekend market taking place at these two locations around the Kranji Countryside this long weekend.
5. Istana Open House
1 May, 8.30 am to 6 pm
Visit the Istana on Labour Day. You can also join in a nature guided walk and disocover the Istana’s flora and fauna, or step inside the Istana Main Building on a tour.
6. Saturdays@ACM Meets Singapore HeritageFest
2 & 3 May, 1 pm to 5 pm
Asian Civilisations Museum
Visit a career fair of vanishing trades, watch puppet shows and performacnes of stories long past, and create colour crafts inspired by the river. Free admission.
7. Sentosa Ukulele Festival
2 May, 4 pm to 10.30 pm
Be entertained by performers on the ukulele while tucking into food at the beach. Bring along your own ukulele and jam along at the Sentosa Ukulele Festival.
8. Family Fridays at the ArtScience Museum
ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands
Two children under 12 years old get to enter the ArtScience Museum with every adult ticket purchased every Friday. Current exhibitions include Da Vinci: Shaping the Future and Prudentital Singapore Eye. Be sure to pick up take-away activitiy booklets and discovery sheets for kids at the exhibiton entrances.
9. Free Movie Screening: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Charlie wins the opportunity to tour Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Find out what happens along the way in the screening of Roald Dahl’s classic story.
10. Star Wars Day 2015 Singapore: Celebrate the Force

11. The Fantastical Story Factory

SOTA Drama Theatre
A musical adventure that will have kids exploring magical kingdomes, meeting wonderful characters and singing along. Everything is made up on the spot from audience suggestions. A brand new show from Showstoppers.
12. Night Under The Stars
1 to 2 May, 7.30 pm to 9 pm
Head down to Zhongshan Park for Xiyao Night with local singers and a series of Singapore local favourit songs. Orgnaised by the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.
13. Baby Expo 2015

Visit the Baby Expo taking place this weekend at the Singapore Expo to shop for your baby and toddler.
