1. Odyssey The Global Preschool’s Open House

2. Early Read Carnival

Tampines Regional Library
Visit the Early Read Carnival taking place at the Tampines Regional Library this Saturday and find out how activivites such as clay modelling and fingerprint art can help make reading fun for your child. Recommended for children aged six and below. Free admission.

3. JRL Live! Introduction to Sand Art
1 Feb, 3 pm to 4 pm
Jurong Regional Library, Level 1, Programme Zone
Watch a sand art performance by Lawrence Koh and even get a chance to try out sand art in an interactive segment. Organised by the National Arts Council and National Library Board.
4. Oriental Craft Workshops at West Coast Plaza
31 Jan and 1 Feb, Various timings
West Coast Plaza
Join in craft workshops and learn to paint fabric umbrellas, stencil orange carriers, decorate paper fans and design mini clogs at West Coast Plaza over the weekend. Enjoy the music from the Modern Chinese Orchestra and snap a pic with roving mascots.
5. Transformers Meet & Greet
31 Jan, 2 pm and 4 pm
Jurong Point, Centre Stage Level 1
Want to take a picture with Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee from the Transformers? Redeem a pass at Jurong Point this Saturday to meet them.
6. Chinatown Festivities
31 Jan, 6 pm to 10 pm
New Bridge Road
Festivities kick-off tomorrow with the official light-up and opening ceremony at Chinatown with live performances, songs, dance and martial arts. You can sign up for a walking trail to explore Chinatown or shop around the festive street bazaar along Pagoda, Smith and Sago Street.
7. Night Out at the National Museum of Singapore
31 Jan, 6 pm to Midnight
National Museum of Singapore
Make a night of it. The National Museum opens till late on Saturday, 31 Jan where you can visit the galleries, feast and food and engage in some retail therapy. In the afternoon at 1.30 pm, you can also stop by CREATE Space at PLAY@NMS for the Plant Power! session where kids get to discover the benefits of plants, find out more about Singapore’s natural history and create their own “tree”.
