It’s the weekend. Here are five events taking place on 17 and 18 January 2015 that the entire family can enjoy together.

1. Sculpture Carnival: Once Upon a Time!
Sat 17 Jan and Sun 18 Jan, 11 am to 6 pm
The Foothills @ Fort Canning Park

A carnival that celebrates all things sculptural, bringing Singapore’s history to life through 3D art forms. Enjoy “Once Upon a Hill”, an art exhibition inspired by Fort Canning Hill, in a carnival atmosphere.

2. Kranji Countryside Farmers’ Market
Sat 17 Jan and Sun 18 Jan, From 2 pm
Nyee Phoe

Go local at the Kranji Countryside. Head to the Farmers’ Market to browse and shop for produce made right here in Singapore at this weekend market.

3. Spring Carnival in the Park
From 16 Jan, 12 pm to 10 pm on weekends; 6 pm to 10 pm on weekdays.
City Square Mall, City Green

Festivities get underway at City Square Mall with an outdoor carnival with games and rides. There will also be a display of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf for you to take pictures with.

4. Spring Surprise @ Gardens by the Bay
From 16 Jan, 10 am to 6 pm
Flower Dome

Catch a puppetry workshop and create a fun craft at the the Flower Dome. Usher in the Lunar New Year and take in the Asian Tales floral display which draws inspiration from the landscapes found in Chinese brush paintings.
