Making It Home: Dreaming Rooms, Making Spaces, Creating Places
Playeum’s Children’s Centre for Creativity is launching its fourth interactive exhibition ‘Making It Home: Dreaming Rooms, Making Spaces, Creating Places’ from 16 May to 29 October 2017.
‘Making It Home’ is designed for children aged 1-12 and celebrates the home as the genesis of creativity, artistry and thinking. The spaces within the Children’s Centre for Creativity will be transformed into different “rooms”, each with a different purpose, and will enjoy opportunities to explore, experiment and redefine.
The exhibition is inspired by children’s ideas of the home. It allows children and parents to experience the home as a source of many ordinary materials that can have multiple purposes in supporting imagination, innovation and sustainability.
Children can dream of their future, bring together colours, materials and designs for floors walls and ceilings, with textiles, paint and construction material. All activities feature Playeum’s unique pedagogies and will be supported by Playeum’s trained team of Playmakers.
