Juying Symphonic Band (JYSB) is a family where all their members’ strengths are embraced. Regardless of musical background, the band’s mission is to develop musical and character excellence in every member. With a strong alumni support and the culture of mentorship and care, JYSB continues to sustain their musical achievements by clinching the Certificate of Accomplishment at this year’s Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation for Concert Bands.

At Symphony by the Gardens, JYSB will be presenting a contemporary repertoire of symphonic music, from popular musical tunes like The Phantom of The Opera to famous movie theme songs like Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Juying Symphonic Band is delighted to share the stage with Guangyang Symphonic Band (GYSB), a band that has grown from strength to strength. The band clinched the Certificate of Accomplishment at this year’s Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation for Concert Bands and has become one of the largest CCA groups in the school. GYSB will be serenading the audience with a collection of symphonic music, from local favourites like Where I Belong to classical folk tunes like Oteyawarakani.
