Giants of the Sea @ SSC
Immerse yourself in the world of Sea Monsters and be awestruck by the life-sized animatronic exhibition of these extinct creatures. Be one of the first to come face-to-face with a 15m long Mosasaurus in a shopping mall! Catch the lifelike movements and sounds of Ichthyosaurus, Pliosaurus, Tylosaurus and other obsolete creatures as you explore the odyssey of these marine predators.
WORKSHOPS OF DISCOVERY
Every half hour from 11am – 7pm (Break from 12.30pm – 1pm & 4.30pm – 5pm)
Kids get a hands-on chance to re-create sea monsters using everyday materials at the workshop.
Participate at only $5 per workshop!
Create and watch your very own mini animatronic creature come alive using motors and simple materials.
Inspiring Young Animators
Let your imagination run wild with the little creature that you have built. Develop a storyline and film a short movie starring your monster with the technology of a
smartphone combined with stop motion animation.
Find out about the amazing evolution of the Mesozoic Era which Ichthyosaurus lived in and learn about their transition with the construction of a Geological time scale.
Redemption of the workshop passes is to be made on the day of the activity itself at the Atrium. Limited to 8 passes per workshop. All workshops
are limited to kids aged 5 and above, on a first-come-first-served basis.
